so what? Im eating pork and beef on a weekly basis.Even my love for Karan Pangali isnt strong enough to make me give up beef, 😭 (He doesnt eat beef 🤢)

As a Muslim Pakistani living abroad, I can recount NUMEROUS families who have had to make a decision regarding whether they choose to eat anything but Zabiha halal meat r not. And MANY of them have changed their decision at various points of time.

Its really not that big of a deal. And it CERTAINLY does NOT mean you have no identity of your own.

Sharmila STILL calls her VEGETARIAN, for some reason. 🤓 But if she now eats fish, guess she's technically not.
All in all, Sharmila's words do insinuate a girl who's still vegetarian, hence has her own identity, etc etc.

I'm sorry, but I sort of disagree with you. I don't know the reason behind why she chose to be Vegetarian. Whether it be Shahid or her own personal decision, I could care less. But regardless of her reasons, if she was serious about it then no one can influence her in eating meat. If she had a strong belief in being Veggie and if she truly sincerely from the heart believed it was wrong eating meat because of animal killing etc, then no one could force her into changing her mind, not even her mother in law.

I can relate to this matter because I myself have been a vegetarian all my life. Its part of my religion and culture. And trust me I have been peer pressured numerous times to try some sort of meat. But I have been firm on my belief and religion. I haven't touched any meat in all these 23 years of mine (except by accident on a couple of occasions).

Now I know Kareena is not in the same boat as me, because she CHOSE to be Vegetarian and I was kind of compelled to be Veggie since I was born into a family that were all vegetarians. But if you strongly believe in something, then you'll stick with it till the end. Hence it makes me conclude that she turned Veggie just for the heck of it. She wanted to see how it would go. I do not know her reasons for going Veggie, but I guess she wasn't sincere about it.

Someone I know chose to be Veggie for 4 years. Tried it out, worked well for him. But just recently he started eating meat again.

Kareena should have the guts to stand for her beliefs and be like "Mrs. Tagore ji, I love your cooking, food, khana, etc, but I enjoy being Vegetarian and I will not change my mind on that." She didn't have to fall for her mother-in-law.

But since I do not know the full story to this, there isn't much I can comment and I shouldn't lash out on Kareena like that. I just wanted to get one thing across in this long post: if you're strong in your beliefs no mother-in-law can make you change your decision. That's all.

As far as being still called a Vegetarian despite eating fish: well some people believe that fish isn't meat, even though it technically is. There are people out there who believe that its not meat.

Having said all of that, this isn't really a big deal at all, but because she is an actress a big deal will be made regardless. It is her own choice and will and whatever she's happy with is what people should learn to accept.

I just wanted to get my points across, but intended no offense to you or others. :)

Cutiepie, I understand your sentiments.

I completely do.
But remember, Kareena didnt turn vege for religious reasons. She had her own reasons. She read some book that Shahid showed her.

But I dont think this is influence at all.

If she chose to now start eating fish, well, its been 5 years since she's been with Saif.

So I dont understand why people say she gets influenced so easily.

Like Likarish said, even John did the same thing, but no one's saying anything to him.

And Kareena still perceives herself as Vegetarian, which she's technically not. She hasnt started eating any other meat except fish, but I guess that's another personal choice.

If she really wanted to just copy Saif, by now she would have been eating what he's eating, which is everything, lol.

But to stay strict vegetarian for 5 years, well, that's obviously someone who has their own mindset.

so even if saif influenced her (which i know if he did it would have happened much earlier) whats the big deal? don't we all get influenced by people around us? doesn't mean we are a push over- its just pretty normal!

I swear, the people on this board make it seem like she's the easiest person to influence and control.

Someone should ask her mother. Jitesh said that Babita always used to say that her younger child is an outright rebel.

Infact, I do recall even Saif saying in an interview, that the trick to get Kareena to do something is to tell her not to do it 😆

It's difficult to quit meat after eating it all life. Kudos to her for keeping up with it for so long.. It's only human to change perceptions over time - really not a big deal!

saira.. yes i know what you mean even i tried to stop people when i heard about it at a age of 7.. i even tell them its not for us.. but they always have an answer ready saying its can also be cowgelatine.

but no i myself wrote to HARIBO and MALACO (companies who make jelly toffees) and asked why they use pork to make them and they answered back saying the day they find anything better them pork they will use that

u know i discust people who call themselves muslims and talking about people saying they arent muslims.. those eat these toffees.. themselves..

back to the topic abt bebo.. i dont know if i should say it.. but as i seen in the movies then, its bramins who cant eat mean.. right..

so it wont even be paap where she have to make it pure.. like they actually shows on tv..

plzz do correct me if im wrong about bramins being vegy

I became Vegetarian around 2004. Then I decided to become Pescetarian around 2 years later in 2006. It is a very good diet.

But then I started dating this guy, and 4 weeks into it, it became my longest relationship - lol. So we used to eat out a lot... and the only fish option on the menu was getting boring - therefore in mid-2010 I became a meat eater again. Starting with chicken breast only - as it is also said to be very good for health.

My friends always call me "Bebo" because I'm a diva and plus my bf reminds them of Saif... now I know why!

I hate fish as well.. I can't stand the smell. I wish I liked it though..fish is good for you. :(

Anyways.. I don't think bebo turned vegetarian because she cares about animals Cutie Pie Rani. I think she turned vegetarian because it helped her loose weight and be healthy .. at least that's the perception I got from bebo interviews.
