But I agree, Akki's PR, if he has one, hasnt done a good job of giving him an image, plus there isnt someone powerful in the industry to talk about "how lovely and wonderful Akki is", given that he hasnt had any problems with anyone! His co-stars have nothing bad to say about him... he seems like a decent guy!

Haha! Yeah no industry big shot talks about him. The only time they did was in 2007. Some years ago Shilpa and Raveena had lambasted him during his casanova phase. Other than that he's remained in decent guy mode. He got a bit of hype in so called war between him and SRK around 2007. But that subsided soon when the two met and posed together in front of media.

You're right pangas and cold wars with other stars or mutual admiration society with big shots helps prop up a star's image. Akki has neither.

Akshay or even Ajay couldnt become a huge star like Big B or Salman or SRK because of lack of the personal connect. Big B's stardom reached another level after his Coolie accident. SRK built his offscreen image based on being a family man while Salman built his image as the misunderstood bad boy. Akshay never came close to creating that personal connect. Before marriage he was a charming casanova and after marriage a good husband. But SRK had already beaten him in the good family man image game.

he has had the kind of success that salman is enjoying right now...recently 3 of his movies did wonderful business but media choose to hype dabaan2 and ett more...it's all about PR nowadays and how you keep yourelf in the news...akshay never really hype himself like these khans do🤔
