Guys please avoid creating fan war here or arguments between specific films. Just wanted to know preferences of audience and factors which influence a Bollywood film and star's success.

For eg., I know SRK's god in UK, but wanted to know reasons for it.

In my opinion overseas audience likes:

- presence of big stars (especially multistarrers like K3G or films like DTPH which have big heroines together)

- typical "Indian" song and dance

- romance (Indian style)

- a blend of Indian and foreign locations (Indian locations remind them of their roots in India, foreign locations & set up help them relate to the film a bit more, they feel it's about people like them)

- glossy and grand production values

In terms of stars, I guess overseas audience likes a star who is cosmopolitan, polished and urban. An aam aadmi or rural guy type won't be preferred much. Also a star who keeps interacting with overseas audience (via concerts) and international media seems to get more preference from them.

Exactly, i think thats why ETT was huge
