Here, in that whole post by Terenaina she wrote one line and that too in relation to what might be ailing Preity, another actress who is going through rough times at present in terms of her movie career.

I really liked Kurbaan. Usually I'm not too keen on films with that kind of subject - barring Hollywood's Rendition, which I LOVED. But Kurbaan (IMO) handled the subject well. And it wasn't preachy, in your face or OTT in any way. I personally found it subtle, in comparison to other Bollywood films on this subject.

For me though, Saif stood out and was the star of the show. But I really liked Kareena's performance in the second half, when Saif's character begins to unravel infront of her. And the hardcore emotional scenes at the end by her were executed very well. I did have goosebumps!

Anyway, I know I've gone slightly off topic but hey, if pple can talk about lip and jawline surgery here - then I'm alright 😆

Aww! Ok...I'll give a serious reply this time. One reason is as everyone has pointed out-Kareena gets dazzled by big projects. It works sometimes but unfortunately for her it mostly doesnt.

The second reason is the hype she creates around herself. And this isnt a recent phenomena. She was smart in the PR game even before she made her debut. As soon as she signs a film the hyping starts. Nothing short of a Bombay Times front page news will do for her to announce she has signed a movie. While people like Deepika, Katrina will even start shooting for a movie without speaking about it. And the hyping goes on and on and on. By the time the movie releases you are fed up about hearing about it and how awesome Kareena is in it. So anything short of awesome...people are ready with knives. If you compare the failures of other A-list actresses you can barely remember them. But Kareena's failures you remember for years because she would have hyped her film so much.

The third reason is..Kareena is a slave of trends and she lacks the ability to judge what's her USP. By the time she gets into doing something people would be already bored of the trend or someone else would have taken the first mover advantage.

Overall I think so far Kareena managed to survive thanks to her youth, looks, connections, hype despite her setbacks. But she really needs to pull up her socks now on. Competition is hotting up and audiences arent very kind to 30+ actresses. No use saying she managed to be in industry for 12+ years so she can go on for another 12. No she cant. Youth is no longer on her side.
