The Kareena fans on her forum have a saying.
Kareena does the worst films with the best directors, producers, and actors, and in hindsight, it is so true.
She did Ra.One with Shahrukh, while Katrina does a Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
She did a Bodyguard with Salman, while Kat bagged Ek Tha Tiger.
She did a Kambakkht Ishq and Tashan with Akshay, while Kat did Namaste London and the string of hits during their initial days.
(wow, never noticed this patter before, lol)
She did Agent Vinod and Tashan with Saif, while Deepika does Love Aaj Kal and Cocktail with him, Rani and Preity did Hum Tum, Salaam Namaste, Bipz and Kat did Race.
She did Mujhse Dosti Karogi, Yaadein, and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon with Hrithik, while other actors did Fiza, Agneepath, ZNMD, etc with him.
The trend is the same with directors.
Sriram Raghavan made the super awesome Ek Hasina Thi and critically acclaimed Johnny Gadaar, but with Kareena - Agent Vinod
Madhur Bhandarkar had a pretty impressive track record as well, no matter how much some of us bash his stereotype - Chandni Bar, Page 3, Fashion. But with Kareena, the flawed Heroine.
Not just that, but in the past:
Subhash Ghai - Yaadein, while at the time, Ghai used to make good films like Taal and Pardes.
Sooraj Bharjatia - Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, after successful films like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Hum Saath Saath Hain.
Yash Raj - Tashan and Mujhse Dosti Karogi, while otherwise making films like JTHJ, Band Baaja Baraat, Hum Tum, SN, Veer Zaara, etc.
Dharma - We Are Family, while otherwise making films like Kal Ho Na Ho, Dostana, Agneepath, around the same time!
