MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone is spoilt for choices. Suddenly she has two mammoth Shah Rukh Khan starrers to choose from. Both equally tempting, and designed to take her career far ahead up the commercial mainstream.

The choice is between Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express and Farah Khan's Happy New Year. And though the two SRK biggies would be shot concurrently, and though she would love to balance an SRK-Shetty project with an SRK-Farah project Deepika can't be in both.

Shah Rukh, we hear, would rather NOT do two back-to-back films with Deepika.

A very reliable source informed, "Deepika has already green-lighted Chennai Express. She is darned excited about the project because it's her first with Rohit Shetty and her second with Shah Rukh. But she's also very keen on doing Farah's film. She started her career with Farah and SRK in Om Shanti Om and it's an 'om'coming for Deepika."

Attempts are being made to work out both the projects. But it's unlikely and impractical for SRK to have two releases during 2013, both with the same actress.

When asked if she's doing Farah's film Deepika hinted that director's current project is hard to accommodate. "I wouldn't think twice about working with Farah. In fact I met her recently after a very long time. It felt just like old times. I'd love to work with her again. Whether it is her next or the one after that I don't know."

When asked if Deepika is in her film Farah replied, "She's in Chennai Express, na?"

It looks like Farah would have to share Shah Rukh Khan's dates with Rohit Shetty. But she is unwilling to share her heroine's dates.
