People make fun of SRK's crappy films...but the truth is he started his career with hatke films which helped him establish himself and he was seen as an experimental actor like Ranbir is seen today. But after DDLJ he simply stopped taking risks and has stuck to his comfort zone since.

Post DDLJ the only different kind of cinema he tried were Swades, Chak de India and My name is Khan (minus forced comedy). So he did take risks but those were not enough considering how he emerged himself during the initial stages like you have mentioned

He was in Rabir's shoes many many years back, doing different kind of cinema but not anymore. It's quite sad and tiresome to expect anything extraordinary from him right now. My only hope is he won't do a Tamil remake which is the trend of B Town at present. That'll be the last straw for me

I loved Don 2, now that was a different movie compared to the Bollywood action flicks. He was rocking in Don avatar and I'm eager for its 3rd installment, if Farhan is planning to make it that is

I'm just a disappointed fan because I feel like SRK's star is waning and it's all his own doing. When he came into the industry, he put all those old fogies out of business by being so different and refreshing. He did villain roles when nobody else wanted to touch them. Then he did romance when people though he could only be evil. In between, he threw in arty movies like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa or Dil Se. He brought all these new directors with him like Adi Chopra, Karan Johar, Santosh Sivan, even Mani Rathnam was new to Hindi films.

He brought professionalism in terms of how a movie looked, with costumes and sets finally coming out of the 70s and 80s tackiness. Heck, even in a simple film like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, he was only 30 years old but happy to play the father to an 8 year old. Who would do that. Nobody even does that now. It would be like Ranbir Kapoor playing the father to an 8 year old now.

Unfortunately what was once new and different has become old and boring. The same old luxurious sets and stories about rich people, the same NRI movies and views of NY and London or some world city, the same old romances and family movies, it's all become tired and cliched after 20 years. Now he has become the old guard who keeps the doing the same things while new people are coming out and changing the business like he did once upon a time. I wish he could clearly see what's happening and turn things around but all his choices make it look like he's a speeding train that doesn't see the upcoming wreck and cannot stop or turn around. It's sad for me as a longtime fan.

the day SRK stops caring about the so called number game all his fans will find the old SRK who used to work in movies because he loved his craft but its not very easy given the media and the so called good for nothing opportunistic BW circles they would surely compare try to put him down make him insecure but once he decided to follow his heart make right choices dont get veered away by pressure he ll surely win once the media and BW realize that he is gonna stick to his guns no matter what the media that tries to belittle him will again sing his praises

the only example i remember as of now is Vidya who was always lashed by media for her choice of movies her clothes but now since she has realized why is she in the field in the first place theres no stopping her .she just does what she wants to do no matter what other say .the same media who lashed her compare her to meryl streep infact if today she goes back to the usual formulaic movies the media will wait no time to bring her down

so even he should stop bothering about this no 1 drama he should know he can not always be no 1 change is the eminent law today if u r not 1 tomorrow u can always be no matter whatever shitty BB 100 cr -200 cr movies u do people will forget them in few days as there is already some other movie on the same theme ready to dethrone ur movie but if u chose quality over usual formulas it will gonna stay in people's mind since u r doing something DIFFERENT treading ur own path than following others .I somwhere feel he does realizes that but then given the pressures he succumbs

the first thing he should do is kick that Kjo aunty and farah chacha's pichvada they only ruin u filthy selfish friends

then Tommy(RJ) asked-"what is ABCD"
Him-"A for apple B 4 billi C for kutta(laughs)"😆

Don2 was pure action ..no romance ..so it was okay dokay 4 me 😆..yeah He evn replied 2 his fans (abd don3 query) 2 ask Farah abt don3(on twitter).he wud love 2 do Don3

Coming back to your pov, what can I say? I'm tired of agreeing to your perspective cuz damn it you're so righteous yet again

Here's a man who did Darr, a movie which was turned down by most of Star kids at that time and walked off with appreciation. He initiated the move of promoting movies post production when every other actors/actresses reluctant to do so. He proved a hero can be a villain and vice versa

And... Look where he is and what he does now

Time for some new directors...time to move onto character roles where acting is more important. There are so many capable directors...Kashyap, Anurag Basu, Vishal Bharadwaj, Shimit Amin, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Zoya Akhtar,Reema Kagti, Prakash Jha, Vikramaditya Motwane, Ayan Mukherjee, Homi Adjania (no Imtiaz Ali in the midst), Milan Luthria, Raju Hirani, Sriram Raghavan, Maneesh Sharma, Habib Faisal, the guy who made A wednesday think his name is Neeraj Pandey :S...list goes on...granted some of them have a very youthful vibe but my point is, BW has some very capable and awesome directors..apart from the same old boring few. I'd rather SRK works with them now. They have different visions than the same old stuff SRK's tried and tested directors have..

Sania, Anurag Kashyap made Dev.D, Black Friday, Gangs of Wasseypur...list goes on. It would be a completely different style for SRK I'd assume..but its still too early for this project..there's no script. I hope somethign materializes someday...before I'm old with grandkids that is😆

Imagine SRK as a gangster...i really want him to reinvent himself and do something challanging. I love him...i cant bare to see him fade away like this.
