Salman's Ek Tha Tiger beats Dabangg record at overseas Box Office

Kabir Khan's much-hyped movie Ek Tha Tiger has started with a bang at the overseas Box Office on the first day of its release. The romantic-action thriller has done a wonderful collection, beating all old records in USA, UAE, UK, New Zealand and Australia. It has almost broken the first weekend collection records including that of Salman Khan's previous movie Dabangg at the international collection centres in just two days.

Ek Tha Tiger has also got wonderful opening at the USA Box Office. The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer has collected Rs 1.90 crores ($341,000) in the country in two days and collection of some screens is yet to be reported. Its break up is $209,000 on Wed and $132,000 on Thu. It has beaten all previous records in the country.

Ek Tha Tiger has received earth shattering response at the UAE Box Office. The movie has collected Rs 96.98 lakhs ($174,000) on Wednesday. Its business witnessed a little growth on the second day with its collection crossing Rs 98.65 lakhs ($177,000) on Thursday. The movie has grossed Rs 1.95 crore ($351,000) in the country.

Salman-Katrina starrer has had very good start at the UK Box Office. Ek Tha Tiger has raked in Rs 85.23 lakhs (97,457) on Wednesday. Its business saw nearly 50% dip with its second day earning Rs 39.33 lakhs (44,980) on Thursday. It has grossed a total of Rs 1.24 crore (142,437) in two days.

Ek Tha Tiger has collected Rs 42.13 lakhs (A$72,545) on Wednesday and Rs 23.55 lakhs (A$40,559) on Thursday at the Australia Box Office. Its two days' total collection Rs 65.69 lakhs (A$113,104) is better than the first weekend collection of Dabangg (Rs 54.56 lakhs ($1,26,000)). It has collected Rs 10.40 lakhs (NZ$ 23,139) at the New Zealand Box Office on Thursday.

However, Ek Tha Tiger has collected a total of Rs 5.86 crores ($1,052,103) at the international Box Office in two days. Its two days collection in the domestic market is Rs 47.43 crore nett. The movie has scored Rs 53.29 crores at the worldwide Box Office in two days. With this, it has shattered previous records both in India and international market.

The good news is, the evening shows had much better occupancy today, and the advance booking for the night shows (after 9PM) is very good, with several shows sold out in advance. Note: Only multiplexes, as we couldn't track the single-screen business today.

While it's still too early to give estimates, expect better numbers today ' anything in the range of 14-16 crores nett. Sunday and Monday are likely to be huge.

After a hurricane like record breaking opening day (Independence Day) of around 31 crore, Yash Raj Films' EK THA TIGER saw an expected fall that is the norm after a national holiday, just like the Republic Day release, AGNEEPATH.

Coming to number crunching, Thursday saw EK THA TIGER take a big fall of over 50 percent netting around 15 crores. The third day (Friday) saw a further fall of about 20-22 percent.

However, what cannot be ignored is that the Salman-Katrina starrer has netted a huge 59-60 crore (to be validated) in three days from India.

As things stand today, the coming Sunday, and more importantly the Eid festival will once again see a big surge in collections of EK THA TIGER and the film emerging as a big if not a huge hit!

And before we leave, as per early indications from the Overseas, the Kabir Khan directed ETT is also having a good run in UK, Australia and the US.

ES FILM ke hit hone ya flop hone se i seriously don't care...BUT I PRAY to god that it doesn't break the RECORDS of 3I, 3I ke record ko 3I ke hi caliber ki film tode, then I will accept film not an utter nonsense like this one otherwise it will be a huge insult to the GOOD films. 3I 's records are a belief to be put in good films. it shouldn't be broken with a movie which doesn't have even a story
