Its easy for Shobhaa De to say Spare a thought for Sridevi... SD isn't the one directly affected by Mona's death... This death has obviously affected three people the most... Arjun, Anshula and Mona's mom Satee. From their point of view it does make sense for Sridevi to be away from the last rites. It could be Sridevi's own decision or someone else could have asked her to stay out.
Though years have passed, i am sure the wounds are still raw particularly for a mom. Satee has seen her daughter go thru the turmoil.
Even Boney shld have been kept away... He too is equally at fault. Unfortunately our society is very patriarchal and male centric. The men get away and either the wife is blamed or the other woman is blamed.
