Does being GOOD LOOKING/EYE CANDY make one a better actor??

Most of the South Indian heroes might not be good looking but they do ACT really well or rather ppl do get convinced by their on screen role.

I think that what Movies are supposed to do..

Regarding Nepotism - yes they do exist in all industries but u do see Ajith,Arya,Ganesh becoming stars with absolute no connections

Maybe when stars with connections in their regional industries attempt for BW they come across the wall of neoptism too?

Coming to acting I find the acting styles of most South Indian heroes loud. I am ofcourse no judge...and basing my views on some dubbed movies I have seen on TV.

Any nonsense these Khans churn out I go and watch it. But would i be that linent with a new star, If the reviews are good or if the WOM is good maybe then i would give it a shot. I could watch a regional movie once in a while but Hindi movies is what i go back to watch on a regular basis...

Surya and Mahesh are both good looking and talented, but they will have to fit in the parameters of a bollywood movie...i remember watching Rakht Charitra 2 in which surya acted very well, but he did give some signs tht he was actually working in a south movie...not very comfortable here...talent has nothing to do with looks or connections.. yes but a good personality is required...even Amrish Puri was not so deliciously handsome 😆 but he made a mark which any actor would find tough to fill the space he left. South Stars are happy in their own world and the reason why they dont want to enter here...u have given the reasons already.

Indraneil Sengupta the hot model dude...who acted in TV soaps and also worked here in movies like mumbai salsa, 1920 and one other can't remember he is also a big name in bengali movies

and Surya is defintely not a bad looker...well according to us most of the south indian sport the same look which (in general) can make them not so good looking becoz we are used to watch our stuff...but surya has the face and the personality...now if u start posting his weird pics then there is no for comparison...how many stars at our side looks good without makeup...just take a glance on any hero ..i saw john abraham...sheesh sporting tight pants or a spike hairstyle doesn't make u good looking...his face man..ewww what has he done to himself..too much workouts and without makeup..he is one horrible rugged bag for sure...

surya may not be incredibly handsome but he can fit easily into 'Good looking' parameters if given the chance to prove us.

Pssht exactly what I wanted to say... apart from his eyes and skin, nothing is Punjabi about him so telling him a Punjabi puttar would be totally wrong.

@Pulwasha: They aren't good looking in my opinion and I guess yours too but I know many people who do find them charming. Especially SRK, and yeah they're Northies.. so people can easily click with them.

LMAO.. I am sorry I hope I am not offending anyone but Arya really looks like a gay to me, if I am not wrong is that "kajal" in his eyes :/
