Mumbai, March 21 (PTI): Three months after his operation for intestinal problems, superstar Amitabh Bachchan on Monday got back to work, facing the camera for Karan Johar's "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna."

Bachchan, who was operated for diverculitis of the small intestine on November 30 last year, had been advised to refrain from work for at least a month by doctors.

But the star has seemingly recovered fast, attending award functions, dubbing for his films and even singing a song for family friend and music director, Aadesh Srivastav.

Monday, however, would be the first time that he would get back to full-fledged shooting, with Johar's "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna", also starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerjee, Preity Zinta, and Abhishek Bachchan.

The schedule is expected to be light, with just one scene being filmed on Amitabh and Rani Mukherjee. Later in the week, however, he is scheduled to shoot a song with the rest of the cast.

Also in the pipeline are shooting schedules for Ravi Chopra's "Babul", and his make-up man, Deepak Sawant's Bhojpuri film "Ganga".

Bachchan has also finished dubbing for Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film "Eklavya". Industry estimates puts the figure riding on the Amitabh at Rs 80 crore.
