Interview : Preity Zinta as she steps into 31!

Preity Zinta is looking very sweet and sexy as she steps into 31. Her candid and bubbly jovialness hardly gives the impact that she is already on the other side of thirty. And as long as she keeps us in feet of entertainment we don't mind that. Preity had a mouthful of success last year and looking at her recent assignments it seems that she will march ahead with more successful films this year.

Excerpts from the Interview:

You've just crossed 30. How do you feel about it?

Truly I feel as if I'm 16 or better 18 years old. This year is like any other year of my life. Jokes apart I'm really glad turning 31 and turning to be a more mature and responsible being. I believe I look the most beautiful now and am in the best phase of my career.

Last year must have made you very happy with the films working for you?

Sure, the success of my films always brings me joy. Shooting for 'Salaam Namaste' was like being in a fun filled holiday. I'm happy that in spite of his bold subject it was a super hit.

Are you looking forward to Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna this year?

Shooting for this film has also been great and working in a Karan Johar film always gives me a high. This is a wonderful film and it has come out brilliantly.

Have you called truce with Salman Khan?

We're professionals and are also working together in Jaaneman. So there was no point holding anything against each other. I believe the tape controversy was a media jolt. We both sat together and had a chat about everything telling all that was in our heart. There was never bitterness in my heart for him and I didn't react to the news in the newspapers. So the incident couldn't literally change anything between us.

Is there any truth about your misunderstanding with Rani Mukherji on the sets of KANK?

As co-stars we go together very well and have also worked in quite a number of films down the years, which has also turned out to be successful ventures. We respect each other and have a mutual understanding. Off screen we're not the best buddies hanging out but there is no enmity also. So all that news about those things are rubbish.

How do you feel working with Nikhil Advani again?

It's good to be in his second venture too after being in his first. The script was good and my dates were free so I went for the film straightaway. I've faith in him as a director.

You've come a long way without the help of any godfather. How do you feel about it?

The years of my life in the industry is filled with pride, modesty and sweet memories. I think we don't need a mentor but you should understand your strengths and work hard with dedication and passion. I thank the industry and the audience for giving me the love and making me stand where I'm today.
