Okay...so I dont really cry during movies. Like never. But, I started tearing up right during the opening credits and continued crying till the end. If this isnt the best movie of 2011 (other than Shaitan) then I dont know which one is. The pain in the second half is so intense that it just eats you from the inside. The climax was... painful.beautiful.painful.beautiful.painful.beautiful. I dont know how else to describe it because thats how I feel.

Someone please help me in stopping myself from thinking about this movie. I CANT STOP. My mom and I went to dinner after the movie, and then for coffee and I was LOST.

A film with a lot of heart and soul. And yes, Ranbir Kapoor should be labelled rockstar from now on. If there were any doubts, this guy is definitely here to stay...

@eraser i completely agree! i still cannot stop thinking about it :| its a painful yet beautiful movie. for me rockstar is movie of the year <3

what disturbs me to a great extent is that people are criticizing the movie. :/ yes i understand its their POV their choice but W*F?! they call it BORING. till this date people watch only standard typical indian movies ad they say "ohh awesome beyond awesome" but when imtiaz ali and RK come up with this never before seen story they say b o r i n g. aaj kal ekdum sadak chaap movies banthi hain giving an example the dirty picture.. i am sure that wont be being to them. well obvio these people dont understand the meaning of this movie. :| if it can bring tears to so many peoples eyes then deffo it has spark!

Okay so I got out of the movie feeling overwhelmed depressed etc etc and then ..a little girl (probably a 2 yr old) walked right up to the Ra.One poster and started pointing to it (the one where SRK is carrying Kareena) and started mumbling "la la la something something Chamak Challo...mama dada..la la something chamak challo) 😆 that really cheered me up! and then she went back to her parents, dragged tthem towards the poster and started getting hyper and kept repeating " "la la la something something Chamak Challo...mama dada..la la something chamak challo".I really needed that to cheer me up 😆

I liked her :) Methinks she has potential. But for her first film I think she made a genuine attempt and for a newcomer and someone who is not well acquainted with the language and had to start from scratch, the girl has done a good job :D

Shilpaa - Oh I guess bollywood is used to such crap these days that these kind of movies dont settle well with them. I mean, generally speaking,the only movies these days that get liked unanimously by the audience are rom coms, comedies etc. Tragic love stories like Devdas, Rockstar etc always get, as someeone said, bipolar reactions. So I'm not suprised. This movie was DEEP and you really had to invest your heart and mind in the movie to be able to love it. Thats how I feel.

Oh and Nargis - in terms of acting, okayish at times. Very awkward at times. Good in a few scenes, but UBER CHARMING in all scenes.

Yup, I watched it...and loved it 😳 Dunnow if it is doing well BO wise but the film should be appreciated...it deserves that much at least.
Ranbir blew me away and I hope Nargis gets moe film offers cuz she has potential. I can see a spark in her :)

Eraser, jusr read what you thought of Nargis and her acting. What to do, I think her charm has worked on me 😆 melikes her :)
