Who said you need to know acting to sustain in the Bollyworld?? Its all about finding the next director/producer to sign you up for long enough until you manage to bombard people with enough quantity and then they start noticing you...Haven't we seen Karisma,Aishwarya and even the current crop like Kareena and Priyanka do the same???They learned acting along the way...First they learned PR..😉

I think it's pretty much a well accepted (and quite unfortunate) fact by now that one doesn't really need acting talent to succeed in Bollywood. Nevertheless, it still isn't guaranteed that Sonam will survive in Bollywood for years to come. Seriously, what does she have? Who deos she have? Her last name? And even if she does, then so what? She can probably get one, two, or even 5 movies because due to her last name if need be, but that still doesn't say much. If all those movies flop, then I think eventually people will stop taking her in movies...case in point, Esha Deol, Uday Chopra, etc.

Acting is subjective, that I agree with. However, Sonam from no angle has immense star power. Even if she had the acting prowess, then what about her BO appeal? I don't really think the 'Kapoor' name can buy her a hit movie or on-screen charm. She ain't no Katrina Kaif (or Kareena Kapoor). Even if one was to take the entire Salman Khan angle away from Katrina's filmography, she'll still be delivering hits. With or without the 'Kapoor' name attacted to her, Sonam is still at the same place, in terms of her place in BW.

Acting-wise...I found her tolerable in Mausam.

There's a difference😉

Kat came into this industry with english accent and hindi was totally new to her so it kinda explains why she isnt tht good acting but Sonam she was already here and she was provided with everything but still couldnt improve😛

acting has nothing to do with language. she didn't know hindi thats why she didn't improve her acting?😕 i don't get the connection between acting and language. did u see Giselle monterio from love aaj kal? she is from Brazil! she may not know hindi well but her appearnces and acting couldn't tell me that she is from brazil. what so ever.. Kat has been in the industry for more than 8 years now? And she still can't act nor she can speak descent Hindi.

And IMO Sonam did good job in Delhi 6, Aisha and Mausam. At least i can tolerate her on screen 🤓

In Kat's case it is. People complain how she has a firangi accent and how that ruins her apperance. Maybe if Kat did what Giselle did in love aaj kal and not talk hindi at all then people mightve liked more than they do now. But she actually gave hindi a try and trying to learn it still and thats something Giselle didnt do... and apparently she has found a formula to stay in the industry without acting and she is one of the leading ladies now. Be it with acting or whatever..People tolerate her thats why her films become hit without a male with a strong star power...Can you imagine Sonam achieve that anytime soon?😛 Even though Sonam has a background of people who has worked in the industry which Kat didnt?

Well aam janata tolerates her thats why her movies become hits just like that and im sure theres something in her that makes them wanna watch her...
