People who've been dying to hear the veteran music composer and playback singer Bappi Lahiri, will soon get their wish fulfilled. The surprise here is that Bappida who has so far sung only for his self-composed tracks in the career span of 32 years, will for the first time sing for Vishal Shekhar for the film 'Taxi Number Nau Do Gayrah'. He has crooned the number 'Shola hai bijuriya, dil hai bijuriya, Bombai nagariya' and the song will be used as the title track for the film. Bappida is very happy with the composition. Singing the song has so far been a good experience for him. Complimenting the composers he said, "Vishal knows my kind of music very well. It's easy to work with a composer who knows both, your taste and your limitations."

But singing for somebody else didn't come naturally for him and initially he did face some trouble rendering for some other composers compositions. As this is the first time, in the beginning he did face some trouble. But after that he pulled along fine. As he says that there is a first time for everything, we guess in the near future we might get to hear more from him.

Though he is a top-rated composer himself, he didn't interfere with the compositions of Vishal Shekhar. He says that the composer duo had given him the liberty to make some alteration or difference wherever he felt was necessary. However the song was well made and so there was no need to touch it. The song is peppy and filled with punch and Bappida had a hearty time singing it. Nana Patekar and John Abraham have some recitals input in the track.

Another innovative take by Bappida is his featuring in a song sequence for Sanjay Sharma's 'Jane Bhi Do Yaaron'. Here he'll lip-sync to Daler Mehendi's singing. Other than this he is also busy making an album with Adnan Sami.
