The reason why Amitabh announced it first has a reason. Apparently it is a tradition in the family to let the head of the family announce it first. Like in Jaya's case it was Amitabh's dad. In Ash's case, it is Abhishek's dad. Simple.

I would'vthink Ash e thought when a Penelope Cruz could pull off an action film in her seventh month and look hot, why can't she. And there is no matter of hiding it. Had that been her point, why would she let Amitabh announce it anyway? She could've announced it AFTER the film is complete. But she didn't. But then it's not only her whose plans failed. Even Madhur planned it out for 45 days and asked those dates from her. He changed the dates after the shooting commeneced, not too organized on his part either.

Could pull off? Why do we wear seat belts, when we can pull of traveling even without seat belts? Just to be safe. Why would she do something, even if only 1% chances are it could hurt her baby?

No, Aishwarya definitely wouldn't have declared her pregnancy AFTER this movie was completed.

How can it hurt her baby when enough precautions are taken? Plus it is HER risk, not the director's. On top of that it is not even an action film.
Madhur's contention is that Aishwarya may not be able to do a vigorous dance sequence in the film. Why? And why does she have to do those sequences? If she cannot do them, you can always use a double. It is done the world over. It was done in Mughal-e-Aazam and Pakizah if I am not misinformed. It was done in a recent Hollywood film called Black Swan, a film based on Ballet, where the dancers have to be as thin as paper and as flexible as rubber dolls. The complex and dynamic ballet pieces were shot with a double in the film. For extremely intimate scenes and skin show, body doubles have been used since ages. I am sure Aishwarya would have insisted on the use of a body double for such scenes. Madhur is claiming that he will suffer production losses. If he does, it will be entirely because of his own decision to cancel the shooting schedule of his film. Did Aishwarya ask him to cancel the shoot? She did not. Then how can he blame her?

Because if she did that, Madhur sir couldn't have been trapped. She wouldn't have had a beautiful opportunity to look like a victim, and gain some sympathy for the Bachchan parivaar, so that the failure that is Buddha Hoga Tera Baap can get a little more than 50 viewers.

And unfortunately, Abhishek has literally zilch authority to do or say, well frankly, anything in the family that he is in.

So she took up this film to 'trap' the director and make people jobless. Yeah right.

Cuz you know what, she has every resource to be able to say this in press.

But she isn't.

She was willing to complete it. That's the whole point of it. But the director was not satisfied probably because he wanted her to bare her midriff in the film. 😲
