Saif ali khan : An underrated superstar??

I thought Saif was always considered to be in the top 5 lead males in bollywood. He's been around since i was quite young. He may not be a 'superstar' but i don't think he's even aiming for such a status. I think he's content with his place in BW, and plays around with his roles to appeal commercially and critically. I like saif, he's always been a smart guy, the only thing of his that i really didn't enjoy was RACE .

the only movies i enjoyed of him were DCH, Hum tum and KHNH. but then DCH had aamir and KHNH had srk... so no he is not underrated. these days he's in the news like erryday. thanks to bebo

Saif's not for everyone. He's for people with select taste. Like caviar, lol.

Because he doesnt do more shitty mindless entertainers, but juggles all kinds of genres and is more pulled towards edgy films, he will never appeal to the masses.

Maybe that's why I like him so much. Most of the work he selects has class.

Even in Race, though the film wasnt that great, his character was so classy.

He is overrated for me, only liked 1 or 2 movie of him: Omkara and HSSH

How can he be overrated if he's not called a superstar?

You didnt like Dil Chahta Hai, Hum Tum, Kal Ho Na Ho, Salaam Namaste, Parineeta, Race, Ek Hasina thi?

I find thtat really hard to believe. Iv'e shown these films to all my friends, desi and nondesi, and majority like ATLEAST half of them. Simply beucase the list has something for everybody.

I agree with u he does dabble a lot doing different kind of movies ...and he does well ...i mean u cant fault his acting really ...but yr ultimate stardom lies in yr stars ...so its not really about him ..if u follow indian cricket then its like how rahul dravid has always played under the shadows Sachin and Saurav Ganguly...he always sort of got lost between the two despite being a top performer

Super stardom is synonymous bo success ...bo success is what determines yr stardom levels ...and Saif unfortunately doesnt have much to show for there...in terms of solo blockbusters..thats where saif is loosing out .performances dont make u a superstar ...bo success does
