Gosh such a hypocrite, she whines about skin color discrimination and goes right ahead and endorses skin whitening creams.

Zarine too came in with the Khan ka help... When is she... No where...
Other star daughters like Inder Kumar's daughter in Karz... She came in too with connections... Where is she today...
I am not denying the color bias issue... It is a big issue...
All I am saying is in B town light skin is not the only criteria to make it to the top....Other factors play an imp role...

hardly 10% of those who want to be actresses actually succeed. be it the miss indias or the starkids or the regular ones.

it is a big issue but i agree that isnt the only criteria... looks for me is the entry ticket in B'wood

that having said i never understood how mani ratnam was theone who gave ash her first movie... anyways

😆 True that why is PC whining such a lot. Its like she is making up for all the time she was diplomatic.

IMO she hasn't suffered in her career because of her skin color.

I totally agree with ths!

dark skin is a big factor..but i dont think she suffered because of that... she had a better ride than most others

I think in general we are obsessed with white skin - we have the sahib/memsahib mindset even decades after Independence. Its intresting how we treat any foriegners in India too - any caucasian is considred great while a african will be looked upon with suspician unless he shows off that he is loaded. I hope things change in the future with the increased economic clout that India has/will soon have.

This sahib memesahib thing is so disgraceful but people are so poor in some parts of India and they expect bakhshish. Last I heard a news about British old people who want to come India to die because here they will get proper care, warm weather and servants much cheaper. Not to mention appreciation of their gori chamri....😕

India has a very warped sense of beauty, they don't take facial features, body type into account. For the general population: fat and fair- fair and lovely; dark and skinny - poor and ugly.

Does that make any sense?
