You either have it or you don't. Just because Sonam is doing movies, doesn't mean she is working hard. What I really meant is that her effort doesn't show onscreen. Anuskha, Asin, Deepika all are doing more "challenging" roles. At least Deepika did a Ashtoush Gowariker film, Anuskha was praised a lot for her acting in Band Baaja Baraat, and Asin did a unconventional debut in Ghajini and does a lot of regional cinema. Sonam may do something substantial in Mausam, but let's wait and watch! 😕

effort doesn't show onscreen..? she was praised in Delhi 6.. and i believe in Saawariya too.. she's done a variety of roles... her characters in IHLS and Aisha were different than those of Saawirya and D6..

what exactly is your definition of "challenging".. playing a blind girl..? playing a dying lover who has telepathic powers to know her lovers name..? or a girl who can't recognize her husband without his mustache..?

Oh man.. i said something remotely positive abt Sona.. 😲😆

Challenging means to me doing something out of the ordinary. When I saw Asin in Ghajini, she didn't play the typical Johar or Chopra heroine who runs in the Swiss Alps. Sonam did that in IHLS. She may have done a Sanjay Bhansali and Rakyesh Mehra film, but they did not utilize her effectively. I just don't find magic in Sonam, sorry but her range is limited. Mausam might change my opinion, but she is not in the league of her contemporaries!

Challenging roles and bollywood dont go together.

btw talking about Dostana - Priyanka Chopra always plays the most accurate NRI desi girl -wearing bras and shorts and dancing on tables, perfect 👏

I found it to be a good role, better than Jiah Khan's pathetic attempt at being a medical student! So, did you think Sonam in Saawariya was better than Asin in Ghajini? 😃
