Sources close to Aamir said that it was for the first time that the actor had cancelled his work commitments to be with his guest yesterday (Thursday, June 17, 2010).
"Aamir was to sit in on the subtitling of Peepli Live, but when Gustavo expressed a desire to watch the match, he cancelled all his appointments for the day," they said.
"Aamir Khan got a huge screen with lots of popcorn and starters. He wanted to create a party atmosphere and asked all his staff to leave their work and attend the screening," they said.
Gustavo is in town working on Aamir's wife Kiran Rao's Dhobhi Ghaat and is staying with the star couple.
The Brokeback Mountain composer was overwhelmed with the warm hospitality by extended to him by Aamir Khan who's making sure his guest doesn't feel homesick.
Apart from spending time with Gustavo, Khan also cancelled all his work commitments yesterday and hosted a football match screening at his house. The actor sent out text messages to his staff ordering them to leave work and head to his pad to watch the Korea vs Argentina match.
"When it comes to work, Aamir never cancels or skips his meetings. In fact, his whole schedule is planned a day in advance. But he made an exception for his Argentine guest. And since Gustavo's country was playing, Aamir decided to organise a match screening and cheer for Argentina," sources said.
