Hi!

So each week we're gunna change this up and hopefully be able to carry off some amazing discussions about a movie.
This week we're gunna start off with A Wednesday starring: Anupam Kherr, Naseeruddin Shah, Jimmy Shergill and others.
In 2008 A Wednesday won Best Director, Best Story and Most Promising Debut Director.
Now feel free to discuss anything and everything about this movie from the cast, to the story, the awards it got (or lack of in my opinion!) .. anything!
Just PLEASSSE let everyone share their opinions without pouncing on them!
And at the end of your post please post suggestions for movies you like to be up next week :)

A Wednesday was definately one of my favourites of 2008. I thought everything was brilliant from the acting down to the cast. I'm very surprised it didn't win anymore awards.
I'm super excited for the prequel :)

This movie was just midblowing. Everyone acted fantastically and it was very quick so you had no chance to be bored. I wish it had gotten more recognition than it did so even more people would watch it. But it's something I would watch over and over again. The message in the movie was very powerful too, we definitely need more movies like this.

I love this movie, and can watch it anytime. The interactions b/w Anupam ji and Nasser ji were fab. My fav in the movie was Nasser ji; his calmness to his character was amazing ji. Everyone in the movie was great, but Nasser ji was a notch apart. I wish this movie got more recognition.
I'll be back with more, in a hurry at the moment. A movie I'd like to discuss is Koshish.

There's going to be a prequel? Any idea about the story?

Definitely a good movie, fast-paced, interesting, didn't drag at all. I hadn't watched Jimmy Shergill in anything after Mohabbatein, but his character here was fantastic. Each character was shrouded in mystery and you wanted to know more about them, their backstory, etc. but the plot only gave a hint of that and then flew away with the story. For example, the remark in passing that Jimmy Shergill's character was transfered for some reason or the other, or Naseeruddin Shah's wife, who'd call him to tell him to bring vegetables from the market 😆 The other officer too, who carried out the whole operation without letting his wife/kid sense even a whiff of the danger he was being put into, was fantastic. There wasn't an overload of characters, but the few that were in spotlight were strong and it kept the story concise-- just perfect for the one day time-frame of the movie.

I'm not 100% sure, but I remember reading something about how it's gunna be based on some events that led up to the whole A Wednesday story .. The movie will have the same cast. And thats all I really know.
