Oh wow...the prices hiked THAT much in 2 years? That's ridiculous pricing. WTF are these crazy rich people doing spending atrocious amount of money on stupid teams? If you have that kinda money to throw away, please do so in a place where it's needed.

This is a cheap dig.Salman and Saif want to invest in a team ,it is their money and their wish and they can do what they want to do with it.What is the need to look down upon it?

Plus what is the big deal with the old age ,and why to make fun of it? Aren't we all gonna age? Or is it just applicable to actors.😛

Salman is also into real estate business from quite some time now.No one is solely dependent on films.

N believe it or not Cricket is the biggest sport in India.No one can deny that and what can the actors do if other sports aren't followed here?Salman is also the brand ambassador of Indian Football team and he does attend matches to try n help it gain limelight.But no one can change the scenario overnight.

Kareena herself said that she doesnt have a keen interest in cricket, but would be supporting saif's business ventures regardless. Its not liek kareena's interested in buying a team. Its Saif.

^^ But but but.. Amitji is still doing main lead roles and still winning best actor trophies so the assumption that Sallu and Saif won't be doing main lead roles in few years could be false. And as someone pointed out earlier Sals and Saifu already have investments in diff things.. so they weren't necessarily counting on IPL for their retirement funds... Maybe they just wanted to part of the excitement along with others and yea money can be a factor to.. but it is definately not a sole factor.

Dont sallu and Saifu also have a home production?

Yes, they have money and so wanna bid! They want to invest it because IPL is making huge money at the moment! Every actor wants to secure their future and make loads of money to have a comfortable life (I don't know how much?)...If other stars are investing on real estates, bars, pubs and restaurant, IPL seems like a better choice for easier money making business....

I bet Priety or Shahrukh when started, didn't know a thing about cricket but still they bought it and now is the proud owner!

On a plus note Cho, less visibility will be good for Saif and Bebo. 😊

See in few years they won't be doing the main hero lead. They have to branch out. Like SRk brached out in production of films as well as TV serials & IPL team, Aamir Khan got into production.

Now Salman and Saif are also trying to get hold of something to keep them going. Actor's life is not that long and they do not have 9-5 job they need to secure their future. Have you seen the olden days actors. Many of them like Bharat Bhusan who was such a great actor when died was doing singel scene movies.

So what is the problem in that.It's not like Salman n Saif got up yesterday and realised that they are getting old and decided to invest in IPL.Anyway,IPL is no sure guarantee ,esp not the new teams which cost plus 1500 crores,it will take a long time for them even to break-even with the investment.

They all have other businnesses too.Today no actor is dumb enough to just depend on films as a source of income.Like Desu said Salman and Saif have production houses.Salman has an event mangement company,he is also a partner in a real estate company n has been so for quite some time now .
