Sonam beats Sonakshi Sinha to be Shahid's girl

Pankaj Kapur's "Mausam' had a number of contenders for the female lead opposite his son, Shahid, like Shatrughan Sinha's daughter Sonakshi, Govinda's daughter Narmada, and Alyque Padamsee's daughter Shazahn Padamsee.

However, looks like it's going to be Sonam Kapoor who takes away the cake.

According to sources, everyone on the unit of "Mausam' is glad to have Sonam join the team.

They are of the opinion that Sonam is a good choice for the role.

Supriya Pathak, Pankaj's wife, is the most excited of them all to have Sonam in the film. She got along with Sonam amazingly well during the shooting of "Delhi-6'.

Sonam was chosen for the film without an audition. While that is alright, the film was supposed to look for girls all over the country for the role. Apparently, the idea was dropped as it proved to be too troublesome.

There is no comparision between Sonam and Sonakshi...

Sonam is DIVA....flops and hits does not bother her...

Shahid would have looked like a baby in front of Sonakshi..she looks like Reena Roy...have you seen her face and its size. She will look good with tall and mature guys....

I am happy if this is true and Sonam is in the movie..

I think it's too early to say this, Sonakshi still didn't done any film, while Sonam already did films, people can overnight be stars in this industry and many can be forgotten as well overnight...........

I think Sonakshi looks very beautiful, I find her much good looking than Sonam and she would look much better infront Shahid........

It's my POV and I think every POV should be respected when it's with the limit.........

not against Sonakshi at all..but I feel she has a mature face. I am really looking forward to the film with Salman. And you are right we have to wait for her movie...

True we cannot judge a book by its cover... Well we have seen pix of Sonakshi and soo far I didn't like the way she looks... But i really hope Sonams the lead I wish pleaseeeeeeeeeee
