agree on many points, no one has any right to attack anything anyone, its not only SRK but a lot of ppl r involved with a movie, this is what i always said, but there r something which making me to think so, first of all i do feel this is a publicity stunt by ALL, Shive Sena, SRK ....everyone is gaining frm it, which many ppl wont agree with me their wish, so is my wish, they dont want themself to be called blind fans 😆 well i didnt even called those ppl blind fan who opposed it , but yes i did call to zareena, accept it or not SRK is not 100% correct ( not talking abt his statement but his daughter kind of comments ) or SS is so wrong SRK is seeming saint in this issue , why he need to proove he is true indian if he is so ? SS is worst and SRK is also no saint, bcz end of the its india which is in bad light bcz of them. oh well where i m talking this is IF , Khans rule here and and and........😛 😆 i wont quote others bcz this srk thread will end up indo vs pak ......to hail SRK , ur movie is Super Hit

The only victims r common people who raise their blood pressures .The two respective sides r well off.they will be well off.It is this tragic fate of common man who got caught in the middle of this.

A movie is a silly thing.Do it for more worthy causes ...There are so many worthy things for ex : the terorist who is resposible for 26 is still alive.Do something about it so that the country will not be blackmailed in releasing that sorry life.

Well I am personally proud of how Zaru and all Srk fans and many others who have commented on this thread. I didn't see anyone here forcing an opinion on others. I have seen many povs in this thread and all have been welcomed. Yes no one knows the truth we all make our comments based on our perception of things.. Yes some of Srk fans including me have been offended by this controversy because our fav star was called the ugliest things in the book, just because he expressed an opinion. I don't think that Srk deserved to be called all that he was called.. and some of us reacted passionately and with good reason! What were we supposed to do? sit back and take crap? the answer is no.. Cuaz if you take crap.. people keep giving you crap. We all just did our best to show our support to Srk and welcomed opposing view nicely.. and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

I agree SRK talked too much about it - Silence would have been a wiser and more relevant reply....
It's becoming quite a joke now - and yes India will be seen as a joke country which is sad...
SS only wants to gain attention - SRK plays their game in a way also.....
This is truly sad but I think his feelings seem to be hurt --- i even tweeted him that he added to the drama as well....
You expressed your view so no members rule IF except Vijay the admin...
it's not srk's fans fault, if members who don't like him don't post in the thread....if they prefer to keep quiet or to think that we're silly - then more power to them...

Well Said 😆 The hatred is only between politicians.

I don't think that all this will affect India's image. Such type of political shenanigans happen everywhere around the world, even in developed countries. People are still fighting for their fundamental rights throughout the world on different issues but the basic undercore problems remain the same. In a way this controversy has kinda brought out some imp issues and its great that people are debating and expressing their views.. as long as people encourage discussions and talk about diff povs freely then it is good for a nation.

Debate is good not insults ----
I support SRK because Human Rights do matter to me -- And I think that as a Icon of India there's too much humiliation and unecessary hatred undergone by him just because he says something about a sensitive issue - that's too much....
India's constitution protects freedom of speech....and freedom of coming and going ----
what SS does is anti constitutional ----- their party should be cancelled/unaccepted -----
@adios - in the 70's -- some roman catholic extremists had the "great" idea to put a bomb in a french cinema because it dared screen the movie of Scorsese about Jesus Christ with an alternate ending - JC doesn't give a beep about humanity and ends up getting married - having children growing old ....humanity remains a mess without a true Messiah...
Terrorism is anti constitutional and People have been arrested for that...
in the 90's : brouhaha over the poster of "Larry Flint"..... in the 2000's scandal about the poster of Costa Gravas's "Amen"...don't remember if politicians say something about it precisely but these controversies had to do with the MOVIE it self ----
it's not anti constitutional to protest about the use of religious symbol --- knowing that Europe is christian and the Pope lives in the Vatican....
these movies had a proper release....
in India the problem isn't MNIK - SS has a pb with SRK......
because he's a successful MUSLIM indian actor having paki roots and because he's opened about it....
there was a controversy about a "hindu" newcomer vs a "muslim" superstar - the issue is there - of course both parties Khan't say this openly -
SRK Khan't spit in the supper which fed him and SS Khan't say "you bloody muslim parasites - cousins of ^/::,**@] Paki" --- that's why both parties stick to an apparent non sense - but they both know what's all about --
that's just my pov --- don't hold the key of holy truth --- but those who do --- please rubbish my thought ^_^

'My integrity is non-negotiable', says SRK, wants closure of row with Sena
As his film My Name Is Khan readies for release tomorrow amid unprecedented security in Mumbai theatres, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan prays for peace and says his integrity is "non-negotiable."
Keeping his fingers crossed, the 44-year-old star also says his stardom is transient and wants a "closure" in the tense row with the Shiv Sena which has threatened to disrupt the film's screening if he does not apologise for his remarks favouring inclusion of Pakistani cricket players in IPL.

"My stardom is transient. my integrity in non negotiable... my being indian unquestionable...hope peace prevails. hope misunderstandings get cleared. hope nobody is hurt. hope all leaders & activists have largesse of heart. hope...," Khan, who is currently in Berlin for the premiere of his film, tweeted.

"nobody wants the mumbaikers or their property hurt & destroyed. least of all me." 1,600 Shiv Sena activists have been arrested so far to ensure a peaceful release of the film.

Shah Rukh also said he is making his point clear for the last time and sought closure, praying for peace in the city, which he owes everything to. "this also is the last time i clarify or say anything on thistopic. this is not a justification, its just reiterating the facts," he said.

"I may not have the same ideologies as the sena but on the question of me being a patriot, i dont think there should be any confusion. feel awful that balasahib & udhav have misconstrued my words. the reactions of the sena workers seems to make me believe that (sic)," he said.

The actor also hit out at detractors for alleging that the whole controversy was created to gain publicity for the film ahead of its release.

"I want to enjoy my film everywhere. i want to enjoy it within myself. and to sickos who think this is for publicity..2 words SHUT UP !!," wrote an angry Shah Rukh. The actor said that he decided to speak out because he wanted to clear the misunderstanding.

"I have the courage of conviction by my side. I explain becos better to do that, than create aggression & division in my country. I have no ego or false sense of pride. my words have been benign & without ill will to any person (s) or my nation (sic)," the actor said.

"dont want mayhem anger and violence cos of our beautiful film...which talks about repairing a bruised & divided world. writing not to justify but to spell out clearly who i am & my beliefs. seems otherwise i am misunderstood. should i write in block letters?," he added.

Khan said he owed everything to Mumbai and wanted a peaceful release of the film. "nationality: indian. born in : delhi. owe everything to: mumbai. loves: my country india, my family & freedom. desire: entertain all...ironic & sad. a film made for world peace has led to so much angst in my own house.my city.my country. let not anyone be hurt is all i pray (sic)," he said.

The film has been dogged by controversy since the beginning, be it Khan's US airport detention or the Shiv Sena threat.

Khan play a man suffering from Asperger's Syndrome in the movie, who is mistaken for a terrorist in the post 9/11 America and undertakes a long journey across the US to prove his innocence to the love of his life, played by Kajol.

Directed by Karan Johar and co-produced by Khan, the film is receiving positive reviews, much to the relief of Khan.

Release of My Name Is Khan uncertain, decision at 9.30am today
Mumbai: The Shiv Sena violence threat weighed heavy on the exhibitors on Thursday, a day before the scheduled release of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer My Name Is Khan, despite the government's repeated assurance on protection. In Mumbai, circumspect theatre owners were still undecided over the release till the time of going to press, even as their counterparts in south Maharashtra decided not to screen the movie.

According to sources, exhibitors will wait till the first show on Friday for a resolution to the Sena-Shah Rukh stand-off. If nothing works out, they may drop the idea of screening the movie.

However, Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Distribution, said, "There's a huge demand for the film. We are releasing it nationally tomorrow."

On Thursday, many theatres pulled off web pages containing ticket booking information and counters refused to dole out movie schedules. Advance bookings remained shut, even as the Shiv Sena continued its aggressive posturing. It said that party workers had been asked to visit every cinema hall and check whether the film was being screened there. Meanwhile, extending support to the film, the Film Workers' Association, a body with 45,000 members, has decided to watch the movie on Friday.

Sources claimed the movie may not be released this Friday and if Khan and director Karan Johar fail to iron out the differences with the Shiv Sena, the film might not be released this weekend at all. In such an eventuality, the film is expected to bear a loss between Rs10-12 crore during that three-day period, said trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

"It is sad but no one wants to risk it. Though there is good security in place, theatre owners feel around 40 policemen will not be able to control a mob of 100-200 if they want to cause damage to the theatre," said the head honcho of a suburban multiplex. "I don't think My Name is Khan is releasing this Friday unless Karan Johar manages something remarkable…," he added.

Johar sought to dispel rumours about the movie's release by writing on his Twitter account: "Pls don't believe the rumours: Release of MNIK not postponed in Mumbai."

Highly-placed multiplex management sources revealed that Shah Rukh was on a two-hour conference call with all the multiplex owners in the city but there was no sight of a solution. Insiders say some cinema theatre owners even asked the actor to apologise to the Shiv Sena.

A Twitter post of Shah Rukh hoped that good sense prevails. "My stardom is transient. (But) my integrity in non-negotiable...my being Indian unquestionable … What happens with the release the film, is the film's fate," his posting said.
