Honestly if Srk had cancelled his promotion, SS would had called him he's scared of us. Like one member mentions in another thread Srk took it very maturely. There was another article stating muslim community is going to support Srk, now i am sure he doesn't want to create muslim vs hindus now. Even in Abu Dhabi press conference, he said he won't comment because he doesn't know how worse is the situation, once he see it he will comment on it. If he wanted publicity he could had used it really well. He might know these cowards are using him for publicity but you never know on friday this publicity could backfire ss.

Multiplexes in Maha won't screen MNIK

Multiplexes in Maharashtra on Thursday decided not to screen Shah Rukh Khan's film My Name Is Khan in the face of the continuing agitation by the Shiv Sena.

The decision was taken by the association of multiplexes and came despite an assurance from the state government that adequate security would be provided.

A representative of multiplex chain Fun Cinemas said the film was not being screened because of the tense situation arising out of the Sena's protests.

My Name Is Khan is releasing on Friday.

Earlier in the day, Ramesh Bagwe, Minister of State for Home in the Maharashtra government, said there should be no doubts about the film's release. "We have deployed over 1,700 police personnel. We have told the film exhibitors that they will be given protection," Bagwe said.

Sena activists had in the past few days targeted several Mumbai theatres where the film is scheduled for release, forcing some multiplexes to cancel advance bookings.

The Mumbai Police had on Wednesday taken around 1,600 Sena activists into preventive custody. The police said that cameras were being installed in theatres and its personnel would be deployed both in uniform and plainclothes. As part of the security measures, cinema-owners were instructed not to sell tickets for the first three rows of the hall.

The Sena's protests against the film are centered around Shah Rukh over his support for Pakistani cricketers who were boycotted by IPL teams during the auctions last month.

Sena activists blacken 'My Name is Khan' posters in Indore

Protesting against Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan for batting in favour of Pakistani cricketers following their exclusion from IPL, Shiv Sena activists in Indore blackened the posters of My Name is Khan.

Nearly 25 activists of the outfit gathered at the Regal Square and blackened the posters of the film. They also raised slogans against the 44-year-old actor.

The Sena activists have warned that they will not allow the screening of the film in the city at any cost.

Khan had spoken in favour of Pakistani cricketers after the IPL franchisees failed to select any player from the neighbouring country following which he came in the firing line of the Shiv Sena.

SRK finds Mumbai protests ironic

Shah Rukh Khan has said that it is rather "ironic" that his film My Name is Khan, an attempt to spread the message of world peace, has caused so much "angst" in the city he owes everything to.

A "sad" Khan reacted to the tumult in Mumbai, where theatres have been turned into fortresses and 1,600 Shiv Sena activists were arrested to ensure a peaceful release on February 12, saying that he prays for peace.

"ironic & sad. a film made for world peace has led to so much angst in my own house, my city, my country. let not anyone be hurt is all i pray(sic)," tweeted the actor who is currently in Berlin for the movie's premiere.

"nationality: indian. born in : delhi. owe everything to: mumbai. loves: my country india, my family & freedom. desire: entertain all (sic)," added Khan.

The 44-year-old actor who had refused to apologise or retract his comments, stuck to his stance saying, "writing not to justify but to spell out clearly who i am & my beliefs. seems otherwise i am misunderstood."

The film has been dogged by controversy since the beginning, be it Khan's US airport detention or the Shiv Sena threat.

The film sees Khan play a man suffering from Asperger Syndrome, who is mistaken for a terrorist post 9/11 and undertakes a long journey across the US to prove his innocence to the love of his life, played by Kajol.

Honestly speaking SS don't hate pakistan at all, if he did he would had made sure if any pakistani artist are in the movie, the movie wouldn't get released. But SS never created any problem for APKGK. many people bought the music and went to watch the movie. Why didn't SS demand to edit out Atif song in the movie? He didn't as he's doing with Srk. I don't even want to bring hindu muslim issue because that is lame. I heard Amtiabh recited to Pak's Poet(not sure what exactly) why isn't SS attacking Amitabh bachchan house?

If you want to be fair then treat everyone fair. i just hope matter will be solved by tomorrow or else huge loss is coming up. People saying this controversy has benefit Srk, in what way? That his movie poster has taken off, advance booking had stopped? Coward SS broke his promise?

yeh to wohi baat hui k suffer bhi uski movie kare aur point out bhi usse he kia ja raha hai 45 crore ka lose kara k kya benifit milne wala hai srk ko koi batayega plzzz?sorry to say but jab sab ko srk ko support karna chaiye tou mujhe tou reporter ki baat yaad arahi hai rajneeti ki rotian seki jarahi hain y only rajneeti?even b town ppl are talking silly yaar srk dnt need such cheap publicity stunts b'coz his ever greatest hits never needed such cheap tricks so y mnik?

Now movie won't be releasing in Gujrat as well. I hope this isn't true. otherwise a huge loss. I think Srk/Kjo should postpone the movie.

ohh GOD how do u know this no yaar postpone will be a bad idea i think indian GOVT should atke action yaar this is not the way where the heck the law imposment campanies?world's largest democray mein rehne walon ko aisi baatein suit nahi karti hain no offense but this will raise a BIG question at india's democratic system 😕😕

one of the members lives in gujrat, they've mentioned the movie isn't releasing in gujrat. So far no movie in gujrat, Maha and Mumbai. So i believe 60 cr loss. 😲
