OK, soo when Pakistan banned its players from playing IPL last year, then I didnt see anyone saying anything. When Pakistani players have been saying all this while before IPL that they are not so interested in it and those kind of quotes then no one said anything. Aussie players, England players, other country players werent selected, heck even INDIANS arent selected...NO ONE says anything on that. But just bcoz its India Pakistan everyone wants an answer.

And moreover, ANYONE here wants an answer then there was still an issue, as told by Shahid Afridis manager, of VISAS. Though it was granted but he said there could be an issue anytime of the Visa not being given. When Pakistani players were bought for wooping 250,000$ or I think even more and Franchise Owners paid it from THEIR Money, many Pakistan players didnt turn up and some just came for a few matches, WHOSE LOSS was that?? Why didnt anyone question them? So why should the Franchise owners pay the money now and risk it again when they still have a VISA Problem??

Last year Sohail Tanvir said how he doesn't care that he wasn't playing in the IPL because 'his country comes first'. Similarily, Ijaz Butt was quoted saying:

"It really does not bother us; what difference does it make to us if our players don't play in the IPL this season? They didn't play in the last season as well"

And they werent "INVITED" as to say. They were a part of the list as all other players just as it has happened in the last 3 years....last year, Pakistan banned their players from being a part of it, but did India make such a big issue on that? I didnt see anyone going, "Oh, Pakistani players werent sent and bla bla" but this year, Franchise owners didnt take a risk and so much emotional accusations by PCB.

And Mr. SRK, as much as I like this guy, hes looking such a double faced here. If he was so interested in them, WHY didnt he just buy a player?! Why didnt he fight for it if he so thinks?

There were 67 oversea players available and only 11 were chosen. No one is making an issue on that. About Aussie players, about other country players.

Why such a hulla ballo on this?! Just bcoz its India-Pakistan. baah!!!

PCB is even taking it to such further heights by saying we ll take it to ICC....Excuse ME, but who is ICC?? This is INDIAN Premiere League. Not ICC Premier League.

Damn right it was sad to have them there and not been bidded for ? Do I think it was done to humiliate them .OFCOURSE why else whr they even there if no one was going to choose them. But i guess it would be harder for others to understand that unless they were in the same position themselves.

Agreed to what she said,they are the team owners they are free to choose and drop anyone BUT if situations are improved in near future,would Shilpa take her words back and seclect Pakistani players for IPL?

If i'm not mistaken RR was the winning team during first IPL and many Pakistani players did really well especailly Sohail Tanveer:)

Then it was humiliating for India too that Pakistan didnt allow its players to play IPL even though it was held in SA just bcoz of security issues for all the players...IPL did it for players then But still they didnt participate bcoz Pakistan govt. at that time had same they didnt want their players to play for Indian Premiere League......but I didnt see any huge issue arising there.

When few Pakistan players said last year and a few months back too, they dont care much for IPL and such other statements, I didnt see anyone talking about it. Now when they arent part of it, they are showing so much care....🥱

@Anshu:-- Yeah, thats wat I was thinking exactly. Its a sensitive issue and I so dont want to have a debate on it. Thats why I was doing refresh on it every 5 mins just incase some harsh reply comes along and if it had, I just wanted to tell that we ll all view it differently.

So, I just wanna say to everyone...its just my view with the facts as I see them. And I understand others may feel it differently so npz on that from me atleast :)

Just on this issue, I dont want Bolly forum to turn into cricket debate forum.

exactly, when u put urself for sale not necessary someone buy u .....and pakistani players put their names for auction for money, for their personal profit.....nothing to do with countries
