i can understand where she is coming from
we all no the situation, but is that the fault of the pakistani players
heck no

if or when the situation gets better does that mean they will be picked by her?

i know its an auction players get bought or not
still does not seem rite
obviously there is politics involved here

thats another issue so i wont discuss here

Issues of VISA where Pakistani players still can have a problem regarding it as told by Shahid Afridis manager himself, so how and why do Franchise owners risk their money?! Issues from IPLs side, I agree...it may be or it is there

But, If its just about Pakistanis not being selected then Yousuf Abdullah who is a Pakistani and plays for South Africa has been selected for 3.41 crore, we have Mohammad Kaif who doesnt even play anymore besides maybe sometimes First Class cricket for $250,000.
And if you see the IPL Teams as they already are, there are other Pakistanis also involved in the teams.
Also, the latest news is that Pakistan is "threatning" to boycott Champions League and IPL 2011, so if they are ready to boycott that already then I dont see them any less than in taking this matter further, if IPL already hasnt.
Pakistani players had already been giving out comments regularly if you go back a few months about how they dont care about IPL, how they are the world champions and so it doesnt matter to them and such others. Anyone has anything to say on that? Now if they arent a part of it, then just keep on saying we dont care and not we ll take it to ICC.
I dont blame any side. I just view it with my own persepctive and not "fool" anybody.
@Mahi:-- aitee...haha, oh thats nice too just the PC one really caught my eye as I like her. And even the avi next to her is real pretty :)

Yusuf Abdallah is NOT pakistani thats one, he was BORN and RAISED in SOUTH AFRICA and is a player on the SOUTH AFRICAN team, only link he has to pakistan are his parents. he's a national of South Africa. Mohammed Kaif is only muslim, hes INDIAN, born and raised in UTTERPRADESH, INDIA. Even his parents aren't pakistani.

i mean, i duno and honestly i dont care either. but the whole point of my argument was if these issues were SO APPARENT then why not make them known? Why not address them? Why later on pass crass comments such as the ones passed by Ms. Zinta Mrs. Kundra?

IPL does not ''offer'' anyone to come for auction. Its upto an individual player & their country's cricket board (in this case PCB) to decide whether they want to be a part of the auction. Last year PCB had banned their players from participating.....this year the ban was lifted & their players were allowed to participate in the auction. So IPL is not to blame for making an ''offer'' to the Pakistani players.

Secondly the franchisees of IPL have every right to decide who they want or don't want in their teams. Its their business....they have invested tons of money in it. They will naturally choose a player who is the safest bet. If they think a particular player might be a liability to their team they will not go for him.

Thirdly the Indian Govt is not to blame for this. If they did not want any Pakistani players to play in India they would not have issued visas to them. Having said that there is no doubt that there are unresolved issues between the 2 countries & even if we want to we cannot dissociate ourselves from these political issues.

I think most of you people are missing the point here. If there were security issues to begin with then the ban should not have been lifted in the first place and pakistani players shouldn't have been invited.

For the people saying that they were not chosen because it is up to the team then please give me a break. It's like saying I wouldn't choose Sachin in my team even if i was given a chance.

At the end of the day they made a mockery out of the pakistani players. Oh well IPL is kinda losing its touch anyway so im not even gnna bother watching this year.

@anna:-- The point where I disagree with u is that IPL is loosing is touch. Thats a big no no from my side. Infact its just getting better and better. You should see other forums or best, twitter where IPL has its own accounts and Lalit Modis. Tweets sent to them just show how bigger IPL is getting.
@Enyce:-- Yusufs parents are Pakistani does make him a Pakistani no matter what. As such, SRK is a delhi born, Salman was born in indore does but that doesnt make them any less a Muslim bcoz their parents ARE muslims. So why not Yusuf?! And why just these stars, on I-F itself we have our Muslim friends who were born abroad but their parents are muslims so they are muslims as well. Just bcoz they were born abroad doesnt mean they arent.
Other than that all I can say is, its an endless debate since we all have a different view towards the issue and we are all entitled to it.
