again i am talking about hrithik here not the film i know it was a copy of ET

FROM WIKIPEDIA
Asperger syndrome is an autism spectrum disorder, and people with it therefore show significant difficulties in social interaction, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. It differs from other autism spectrum disorders

Social interaction

Further information: Asperger syndrome and interpersonal relationships

The lack of demonstrated empathy is possibly the most dysfunctional aspect of Asperger syndrome. Individuals with AS experience difficulties in basic elements of social interaction, which may include a failure to develop friendships or to seek shared enjoyments or achievements with others (for example, showing others objects of interest), a lack of social or emotional reciprocity, and impaired nonverbal behaviors in areas such as eye contact, facial expression, posture, and gesture.

Speech and language

Although individuals with Asperger syndrome acquire language skills without significant general delay and their speech typically lacks significant abnormalities, language acquisition and use is often atypical. Abnormalities include verbosity, abrupt transitions, literal interpretations and miscomprehension of nuance, use of metaphor meaningful only to the speaker, auditory perception deficits, unusually pedantic, formal or idiosyncratic speech, and oddities in loudness, pitch, intonation, prosody, and rhythm.

ok by the look of it srk is portraying aespergers properly, and they have researched it, maybe he is not acting as well, but u cn't judge that, u will need to wait and watch, the promo seems stereotypical but u never know, i think it is more about the human spirit rather then about a disease or terrorism

LMFAO, a film doesn't stick to hardcore facts? Than that discards the film's authenticity. It's like me making a film on a character who's paralyzed from chest down, yet he can walk properly, and it is only done to add spice in the film. Wouldn't that seem ridiculous? It would hinder your enjoyment altogether.

And yes, a superstar can be a great actor, but SRK is not, and that's my opinion. In fact, with the exception of Aamir Khan, I don't think any of the Bollywood 'superstars' can act outside their narrow radius of comfort zone. SRK, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, etc etc, are all good at playing themselves, and they do so in every film (with a rare exception here and there).

I agree when it gets too much it definetly takes away the authenticity
I am not saying that it takes the reality away..but sometimes it does get exaggerated...ofcourse no one would believe that a paralyzed person can walk...all I meant was that sometimes it does get exaggerated.. it is a movie not reality, but yes if it does get too much than it becomes stupid... and as i said its my opinion that SRK is not great but still good...but i cant comment too much before the movie..I just hope KJO doesnt make it seem that being autistic is bad and gives respect to it..

Yes, but there must be a limit to the exaggeration (and as I can read, you agree with that).
There will always be a certain amount of exaggeration in main stream cinema, but that amount must be well within the limits of plausible reality. The exaggeration should be something that doesn't take place very often in real life, however does not defy reality all together. Know what I mean?
Bollywood's definition of exaggeration is taking everything to the 'over-the-top' level, and that is unacceptable by me if the movie covers sensitive and very real issues such as terminal illnesses, and genetic conditions.
And they stereotype like CRAZY!

Glad to know some people felt the same as me. I watched the movie trailer just 'cause SRK & Kajol was in it.
After watching it I asked myself "so this is why you stopped watching Bollywood movies eh?".

Despicably, it seems to be the most idiotic story line put together. "Everything was darn AWESOME for an autistic Muslim man called Khan.⭐️ BUT 9/11 happened,😲 so now he has to go meet the American president. WHY TEH HELL you ask? well just because his wife told him to "GO!!" and that she wouldn't love him anymore because other fellow Americans are discriminating their son terribly." Really? that's the best someone could come up with? am I the only one who's rolling my eyes?

I bet KJO went, "guys my next movie! it contains zero ingenuity, Bollywood-Style-Love, Kajol-SRK, autism, religious fundamentalistic terrorism & discrimination". YAY pandas.🥱
I mean just imagine; if SRK wasn't an autistic who "tries to act" like a 6 year old, the movie would be a bit better.
And I bet you my pet peeves that SRK is going to win the best actor award everywhere. This is why actors will be actors not superstars & superstars will always be superstars not actors.

I was big fan of SRK & Bollywood, but I was 12 back then, then I grew up and comprehended that Bollywood has become a commercialized eternity of unoriginality. Same goes for Hollywood most of the time.

And I get why people like these kind of movies, because psychologically superstars & movies are a route of escapism for majority. They're blinded to give adulation therefore they see no defects in 'em.

KMG was another exaggeration of autism. And what bugs me is the portray of autistic individuals.
Seriously! majority of autistic individuals are introverted not extroverted. It's like these autistic characters in these movies are far from pragmatism and designed merely for the purpose of cinematic portrayal, which would possibly make a ongoing story.
And especially a person with Asperger syndrom tends to correlate with introversion. So..........

For me; when a movie deals with real issues, I want 'em to be pragmatic and rational.
But what can I expect? this is Bollywood, everything is glamorized & exaggerated so effing much that it HURTS!🥱
This is one of the reasons why I watch Japanese movies when I want to see realism and ingenuity.
Now the Japanese, they FREAKING know how to define cinema and ingenuity.👏

Oki hun, no caps please😆 I don't possess the knowledge of KMG character descriptions. So I made an assumption based on how SRK acts in this trailer and how it matched with KMG Hrithik's acting. They both try to act like 6 year olds. (and terribly fails).

I don't care if she shouts in despair or in melancholy,😆 the fact remains it's a "not so ingenious" plot of a "happy autistic guy named khan, who's now on his way to see the President of America to tell *The Tales Of Discrimination*" (really? you could just go to the police station😆 so why take teh trouble?😆)
And did I mention this autistic individual is a happy extrovert?😎😲 now that's what I call a twist😆

Trust me I can judge this movie's outcome easily just by watching this trailer😆. It's so obvious, no suspense or ingenuity about it. This is no Donnie Darko or The Moon. 😛
And I never watch a predictable movie, never will. (even if it has my favorite couple SRK-Kajol.😛)

Now the Japanese, they FREAKING know how to define cinema and ingenuity. 😆 Must try Japanese cinema. There must be a reason why my brother is always after those. 😃

And on top of everything else I just found out last night from a video my mom was watching on YouTube that Agar Tum Mil Jao from Zeher is ALSO "covered" for the movie. So, yet another example to throw on top of the growing pile. 😡

I was in the process of writing a very long reply to purelyme, but looks like you stole words out of my mouth. Well said. As you said, there's a limit to the amount of exaggeration and melodrama injected into a film that a moviegoer can swallow. Any 'exaggeration' that ventures outside the radius of supposed reality disengages you from the film. The argument that it's a 'movie not reality' doesn't hold water, since the movie is based on reality and real life circumstances. Surely, Autism isn't fictional?
