...Mentally challenged/handicapped characters. Do they know how stupid they look? Being mentally challenged/handicapped doesn't equate to acting like a complete douchebag. Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgan, and now Shahrukh Khan. When I caught the preview of MNIK on Star Plus, I first thought it was a biography on Shahrukh Khan, until I saw the word 'autism' stamped on an ID card or something. I don't normally judge a book by its cover, but let's not fool ourselves. We all know I'm anything BUT self-righteous, especially when it comes to Bollywood. I'm so sick of this
manipulative tripe, that I feel like my brain will implode into a disgusting pile of goo.
Am I suppose to laugh at mentally challenged people, or feel compassion and sympathetic?
What a sham, and an insult to mentally challenged people. If this sort of acting was permitted in Hollywood, HR, AD, and all these actors aspiring to make complete assess of themselves would bag the Razzie Awards.
If you want someone to play such a challenging character, pick an actor, NOT a superstar.
Ugh.
