Touted as the year's biggest film, KI has fallen below the junta's expectations. Audiences have termed it as just another no-brainer with wasted international stars and a terribly weak script. StarBoxOffice spoke to the junta about their views on the film.
Vipasha Pillai: It's a rubbish film. The story has absolutely nothing to talk about. Kareena was slightly better but otherwise there was nothing good about the film. In fact I found Amrita Arora one of the dumbest in the film. Amrita plays a lingerie model who wears exotic swimwear at home and refuses to let her husband even touch her just because her best friend (Kareena) says so. Wow! The songs are really lousy and torturing and the choreography is even worse. I think there's something terribly wrong with Akki's choice. God alone knows why he signed on to do such a film."
Annie Syed: It could have been a much better film. The entire spotlight was just on Akshay and Kareena and though they were looking their very best the shoddy script was the biggest drawback. My expectation of the film was that it would be like a Welcome or a No Entry, but it comes nowhere close to it. The comedy was a bore and I was definitely not laughing.
Aditi Sharma: I didn't like it at all. It's basically just a glamorous film, there is no story and the punch lines are boring. You hardly know where the first half is going and the 2nd half doesn't make any sense either. The film was too hyped and its way below my expectations. Stars like Sylvester Stallone and Denise Richardson are wasted in the film; I hope this is a lesson for them to not waste their time and energy behind such no-brainers.Its not even a one time watch! Please refrain!
Rajeev William: I remember there was one scene in the film where Kareena asks Akshay, how low can you get? This film is the answer to her question. I just wanted to walk out even before the interval. With a gorgeous actress like Kareena and deadly stunts from Akshay, the film could have been much better. If you haven't watched the movie, please don't. It's a complete waste of time and money."
Pritika Gurunathan: Firstly, I thought the movie was a total waste of time. Secondly, there's nothing funny in the film. This is Akshay's third biggest flop. In short, I would say it's a horrible film and a complete torture. Actors like Boman Irani and Aftab Shivdasani are nothing but a real waste. It's an illogical film. Please don't waste your money on it.
