Aish is nothing but a pretty face for most of the directors, even the top ones. She has expressive eyes , so the good directors can bring those emotions from her but when it comes to dialogues delivery...she is flat. just check out her kyon ho gaya na and dhoom 2 acts...gosh, it made me cringe

Ash has her strengths and weakness She is excellent in dramatic roles,tragic roles..or roles where she plays a stong graceful woman.She uses her eyes very well!No onecan replace her as Paro,Nandini,Guru's wife,Jodha etc

Poor woman is too beautiful too live on earth without bashers......She is hated for her beauty by most.....

I am not directing this at you...but quoted it for de 'acting' part..... I believe that wat one defines as acting is very subjective.......a few examples to illustrate this(does not mean that I don't like this actors or actresses-i love all of them)...
A few of us may not like the way Rani acts-cries to much, has an image in our mind and . Sharukh-most of the time portrays that my love wud be the better and most romantic one(we can't ignore in most movies his luv interest is engaged if not married)..is there any substance in those roles but then don't we just love him....Katrina---is she only a pretty face or just too stiff......we may like them we may dislike them.......just to illustrate de meaning of acting flips from mind to mind......

Its not about being hip or not. Bollywood movies don't really cater to men (I'm not a man, but I know)........sometimes they don't even cater to women (you know the sensible ones). On topic, I don't think Aishwarya is a great actress. She has disappointed me many times and I'm convinced she CANNOT do a full-fledged masala role WITHOUT overacting.

HOWEVER......she is a pretty damn good actress when it comes to off-bit and subtle roles. Taal, HDDCS, raincoat, choker bali.....prove that.

I agree that bollywood makes mainly candy floss type of movies but what I was getting at is having an opinion about the whole industry just because they watched one pathetic movie. Ok these folks dont watch Bollywood movies because its cheezy - that is perfectly acceptable but the same young men throw out their opinions at the drop of the hat with so much conviction. How can someone form an opinion and generalize a whole industry by just watching one movie or in some cases parts of differnt movies ?
People like Russel Peters pass such comments and feel they are superior. This is just my opinion and it has always been a fashion to diss hindi movies - I thought that phase was over when we had genuinely good movies being made in bollywood but I guess not.

personally... i think Aish is just an ok actress no offence she is not bad or she isnt tht good she is an ok actress but nobody has a right 2 point out anybody!😊

Ok you don't like Aishwarya and it's fine but her fans think that she's the best actress.
