Day 21 in the Bigg Boss House

Its Friday and eviction night - the third eviction!

Arshad says he has learnt politics in 3 weeks more than he has learnt in the 11 years of acting...come on Arshad, now you're talking like a politician!

Day 21 in the Bigg Boss house, and a very good morning to the housemates. Everyone seems to look really tired and gloomy this morning and the girls really don't even want to wake up. But trust Bigg Boss to get his way!

Anupama shows her concern for Kash and prays to God that she doesn't go tonight. On the other hand, Rupali favours Carol and Carol too is not keen to go. Rakhee is sulking after yesterdays event and is oblivious to Rupali's open heartedness towards her. Seems like Rakhi's in her own little world!

Finally Rakhi comes to apologise to Amit and says that she only wanted friendship with him. She admits her fault and felt she was playing Duryodhan and apologises repeatedly. Rakhi, even Duryodhan would be intimidated with yesterdays behaviour. Amit accepts her apology and also apologises in return. Ravi says this is the most genuine gesture and Rakhi is a genuine person. Lets hope this is the end of the Amit and Rakhi saga.

2pm and its lunch time. For either Kash or Carol, this may be the last meal in the house, so they savour each moment.

Carol is called into the confession room to find out who she thinks is going to go tonight. Carol does not want to go as she has made friends and is now used to the annoying wake up calls in the morning. She's not sure whether she can deal with others outside. She also wants to speak better Hindi! Well done Carol, you're finally on your way to becoming a desi!

Kashmira is next

She feels bad that its one of them going and didn't get a chance to get to know them. Kash feels people fear her or misunderstand her, and she does not care to change this. She feels the housemates have strategies against her. But come on Kash, aren't you really the biggest conspirator in the house? Rakhi and Kash are not conversing, and if she stays, then there will definitely be a storm!

Some cry...some laugh, as the long as the audience are enjoying thats what matters!

Heavy heart beats for Kash and Carol tonight...

Todays task is a game for the housemates - dumb charades. The teams will be:
Team 1 - Rupali / Rakhi / Amit / Ravi / Carol
team 2 - Kash / Deepak / Aryan / Anupama / Rahul

All through the game, team 2 seem to have taken the game by storm, and eventually come out as the winner!

The night seems to have drawn and the house has been converted to a puja house! But in the prayers, Kash was not included and Carol was. And ofcourse, Kash is upset at that. But Rakhi, Kash and Ragini pray separately. Lets see if Kash's prayers will be heard or not!

Anupama's itemgiri

Damsel in distress? So not! Anupama Varma with Nana Patekar in a still from Vadh
As Anupama Varma and Aryan Vaid's romance continues to simmer on Bigg Boss, it would seem that Aryan's the one leading her on. But a close friend of Anupama's called to spill the beans about Varma's past.

She says, "Anu behaves like an innocent lamb who is being led on by a player. But she's too smart for someone like Aryan. In fact, I feel terrible for him. Look what she did with men like Mahesh Bhupathi, Nana Patekar and Bikram Saluja. They got enamoured by her pretty eyes and landed with a broken heart instead."

We hope mommy Vaid is reading!

Miss Bharatiya Bhasha Ki Virodhi!

That's what Carol Gracias should be called, says funnyman Sajid Khan.

The actor-director comes down

heavily on the inmates of Bigg Boss' house as he deconstructs their personas .

Carol is an alter ego to Subhash Ghai. Like the maverick director, who finds it difficult to mouth English words, Carol makes tremendous efforts to speak in Hindi. I think the channel should provide subtitles for Carol's speeches!

Ragini aka Ms
Worst Spy

She's the worst spy in the history of spies. She's supposed to do what Kashmera does best — letting hell loose on the inmates of the house. She's like a watchdog going off to sleep after a heavy meal.

Rahul Roy aka
Mr Vegetable
I have a lot of respect for people who don't get up to do daily chores, and instead lie around in loose tees. He is laziness personified.

Amit Sadh aka Who's that guy?
The question of the day is Who is Amit Sadh?

Anupama Verma aka Ms Dumb 2006
Knowing her ways, she would take at least a week (if not more) to solve an all-white Rubik's Cube!

Ravi Kissen aka Slang Chacha
Watch out for the unedited version where his profanity is oozing out. His gaalis are supposed to be mind-blowing.

Rakhi Sawant aka Ms Confusion
She's always super confused. She can't make out the difference between a friend and a foe! There are times when she reveals that she wants to change herself. At the same time, there are equally frequent occasions when she cribs that she wants to become the good ol' Sawant belle.

Rupali Ganguli aka Ms Tears for Fears
She's a lost member of the '80s group Tears for Fears, who churned out the chart-topping number, Everybody wants to rule the world! She's tearing (at the drop of a hat, she sobs hoarsely) her way through the show and even fearing the consequences.

Aryan Vaid aka Romeo Gone Wrong
Talk about sex appeal on the show and he's making the best display ever with his bare minimum clothes.

Deepak Tijori aka Mr Replacement
You can't blame him. After making a film like Tom, Dick and Harry, it serves him right to be in Bigg Boss' house.

Ekta: Bigg Boss is addictive!
By: Vickey Lalwani
November 28, 2006

Ekta Kapoor
The Indian Telly Awards belonged to you!
Instead of being happy, I'm feeling very depressed. In fact, I'm feeling very guilty. I forgot to thank Anil and Shivangi, the two writers of my No 1 show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

How does it feel being inducted into the Hall of Fame?
I don't think there is any Hall of Fame on television. Earlier, I used to believe that you are as good as your last show. Now I think you are as good as your last episode!

Did Aamna Shariff deserve the Best Actress award over Sakshi Tanwar and Smriti Iraani?
(A long pause) I think Aamna deserved it because she carries Kahiin To Hoga on her shoulders. But I seriously think that the most neglected actor in Balaji is Sakshi Tanwar.

Are you saying that Sakshi deserved it more?
I am very happy that Aamna got it, but I wish that Sakshi had got it too. Award functions are not giving Sakshi her due.

Another shocker was Mohnish Behl (Ek Ladki Anjani Si) scoring over Vikas Sethi (Kyunki) and Aman Varma (Viraasat)
I haven't seen Ek Ladki... but Aman is definitely fantastic in Viraasat.

Kahiin To Hoga is going off air. Why?
Yes. KTH will wind up in January 2007. It's coming to a natural end.

Aamna is doing a show for Sony. Are you okay with that?
I have no problems. I had informed all my KTH actors a long time ago that the show will wind up in January 2007. Exactly around that time, Aamna got an offer from Sony. She discussed it with me and then took it up.

It's said that she first signed up with Sony and then...
That's false news. Only after she knew about KTH's culmination did she go ahead with Sony.

But you could have fitted her in one of your new shows.
I didn't have a show for her. I am launching three to four shows shortly, but I couldn't see Aamna in them.

What's coming in place of KTH?
Kayamat, starring Shabbir Ahluwalia and two young girls. It's a love story. I've still not decided on the girls. Ronit Roy will play a cameo in the first ten episodes. We're bringing Shernaz Patel (theatre and film actress) back to television. I am in talks with her
.
Which are the other shows you're working on?
I have Kasturi on Star Plus, but I can't disclose the time slot. It's going to be big news. Kasturi is about a girl from Delhi and an extraordinary thing that happens to her. Thirty episodes will be short in Delhi. I am also doing a show for SaharaOne. And then there's the Indo-Pak show with Eijaz Khan. I haven't finalised the full cast of any of these shows yet. All these will be on air before March ends.

Is Kasautii... going off air?
That's a preposterous rumour.

It's said that Sakshi throws her weight around on the sets and wants to write and direct Kahaani. Comment.
That's nonsense. Sakshi is a fine human being. She is so simple that at times I have to tell her that enough is enough. She is very sensitive and starts crying over small things.

She is the only actress in my production house who is closest to her on-screen character. I will keep in touch even when she's not acting anymore and I'm not producing anymore.

Bigg Boss timed Deepak Tijori's entry to clash with Sakshi's new look on Kahaani…
All that glitters isn't gold. On the day when Sakshi came with a new look, Kahaani... got a TRP of 15.34. What the other show registered, I don't care. Frankly, Bigg Boss is a niche show. The show which is the closest to Kahaani... is Zee's Betiyann.

Do you watch Bigg Boss?
(Laughs loudly) Yeah. Sometimes. It's pretty addictive.

Do you watch Nach Baliye?
Yes.

Who do you think will win?
I think Hiten and Gauri. They are very popular. Plus, the show is all about chemistry, which they are very high on.

The inevitable question. A few words on Sandiip Sikcand.
I will say only one thing on Sandiip. No comments (laughs real hard).

Ashiesh Roy

Ashiesh Roy was limping at the HHITA Awards (November 25), while playing Bobby Darling in a spoof on Bigg Boss. The reason is because Roy burnt his foot, developing painful blisters in the process.

Helping hand

The incident happened three days before the Awards night, on November 22. Roy had just returned after rehearsing for the Hero Honda ITA awards and was preparing to retire for the night.

Suddenly, he saw thick smoke billowing up into his seventh floor flat. Before he could react, he heard people shouting from below. Says Roy, "I looked out of my window and saw a lot of commotion. People were running helter-skelter. A couple of illegal huts adjoining our complex's wall in Oshiwara had caught fire."

Roy immediately rushed down and helped douse the fire. "We summoned the fire brigade, but even after they arrived it took us an hour to bring the situation under control. We had to drive many parked cars away from the spot and organise buckets of water."

Point taken

Talking about how the fire broke out, Roy explains, "A shopkeeper left a lit candle inside his shop. When it melted, the cotton and paper inside caught fire and spread to the neighbouring hut. Before anybody could do anything, both huts were engulfed in flames and destroyed. Thank god we brought it under control.

At one stage, it looked that it would create immense havoc in more than one direction."

As for his spoof on Bobby Darling, Ashiesh says, "I pulled off my gay act, but that's beside the point. But I only hope this serves as a lesson for illegal dwellers who callously encroach all over the city, and prove to be a safety hazard for the neighbourhood," he concludes.

Day 23 & 24: Rakhi's big fat birthday party
Rakhi was all dressed up and looking pretty in a yellow sequined top when Bigg Boss called her into the confession room. But Bigg Boss had an ulterior motive: he wanted to keep her away from the rest of the crowd so that they could prepare a surprise birthday party for her. While Bigg Boss talked to her inside, preparations were on in full swing outside. It was a fancy dress party. Rahul Roy dressed up as a coolie, while Amit was a short and Superman. Carol was the jungle queen. Aryan looked like a typical pirate, while Anupama was checking out his heart with a fake stethoscope—she was playing a sexy nurse. A huge black forest cake was placed on the table. As soon as Rakhi came out of the confession room, the guys picked her up and gave her birthday bumps. Later, she came back dressed as a white fairy. The gang danced through the night—making it a birthday to remember for Rakhi. "We don't want to nominate anyone" Despite all the misunderstandings and quarrels, the housemates have become quite close now. Especially after the party. For the first time in the house, everybody wanted to evade the nominations. But then rules are rules and they had no choice. Carol nominated Rakhi and Anupama. Rakhi's constant attention seeking irritates her and Anupama she ranks the lowest if she has to rate people in terms of liking. Well, that is news to us Carol... considering the fact that you've been quite close to her. Amit chose Aryan because he is not living like a family and is always pretending to be true hearted. He nominated Rakhi because she is not genuine and is always acting. Roopali said Anupama is very sweet and she is nominating her because no one else will vote against her. Same funda she gave for Ragini, too, and called her the sweetest. Bahut chalak hain yeh ladki, zubaan pe mithas aur haath mein churi? Anupama nominated Ravi as he seems to be very restless and wants to go back to his family. She nominated Carol again because she snores a lot and disturbs her sleep. Ravi selected Ragini, who he claims seems to have become very lonely. His second name was Aryan, who he feels has stayed enough to earn the money he needed. Ragini picked Rakhi and said she did not trust her. Ravi was next in her list as she feels he wants to go home. Rahul Roy voted against Rakhi because she still tries to influence people and is quite unpredictable. According to him, she spoils everybody's mood in the house. He chose Roopali as he feels that she wants to go home. Rakhi nominated Carol because she avoids her and maybe doesn't like her. She also nominated Ravi because she is scared of him... he asks her not to dance and also complains that Rakhi is acting all the time. Deepak nominated Ragini because she is not a celebrity and by staying in the house she'll reduce the chance of a celebrity winning the game. Rakhi, he said, acts all the time. Why did she create such a fuss with Amit when she has a boyfriend back home? Aryan picked the name of Carol as he feels no one will nominate her this time. Deepak, he said, is very neutral and will not get many votes. Trouble in paradise? Anupama was upset with Aryan. She felt that he was playing games with her and asking her not to talk to certain people. "You're trying to isolate me from the rest," complained Anupama. Soon the small argument transformed into a big fight. "You don't have basic respect," shouted Anupama. While Aryan, like a typical Majnu, tried not to show his anger. He called her to the gym area and tried to talk. But Anupama was in no mood to listen. He asserted, "You're questioning my character." But soon the lover boy was at her knees saying sorry. Both stopped talking to each other—for a while, of course. Kissa kursi aur table ka It was time for the weekly task again. And this time it is called 'Kissa kursi aur table ka'. Everybody was quite enthusiastic about the new task. According to the rules they have to make tables and chairs for school children. The furniture would bear their signature and will be given to different schools. The gang looked quite engrossed as they got the wooden planks and started working on it. The only person who stayed out was Aryan. He was not well. Anupama tried to call him, but he wanted to rest for a while. How the girls fell for the prank It was night. The girls were all set to dive into their beds when they heard screams from the boy's room. They ran to their room to find Ravi lying unconscious on his bed. Roopali got so panicky that she screamed looking at the camera: "Please call the doctor." Rakhi and Anupama were scared and speechless.

Next, Ravi started laughing aloud. The gang burst out laughing and teasing the poor girls. Roopali looked quite upset and amused at the same time. Kya yaar, you guys think girls are fools? Wait till they get back to you.

An eventful week on Bigg Boss
After Deepak's exit, everybody spoke about him. Grandpa was missed in a big way by the housemates… Another funny thing happened on the same day at 3.30 p.m. when Anupama and Roopali fell asleep on their beds. Bigg Boss started playing music to wake them up. Quite amused, the ladies woke up only to dance to the music... Ragini and Carol also joined them. The girls had a good time shaking a leg when the music suddenly stopped. The girls ran back to their beds and pretended they were sleeping, but no music played this time. That was really mean of Bigg Boss, huh? Amit gaining weight?: At night, Amit stood facing the camera and opened his 'complaint ka pitara' to Bigg Boss. Others watched him with amusement. He said he was becoming fat here as he is eating more. "I ate 12 rotis soaked in ghee today, while outside I eat only four a day," he said. Rakhi, who was listening, came up and said: "Meri aadat hain main logo ko pyar se khilati hoon, aur dekho yaha to joote pad rahe hain." The complaint show ended with everybody laughing at their sweet nok-jhok. This happened before the big war took place. Who'll watch Departed in Bhojpuri?: Ravi Kissan loved the English film Departed so much that he wants to make a Bhojpuri film on the same lines. He teamed up with Deepak to plan the film and both began their big talk: "National award bhi pa sakte hain," said Ravi. "Sare multiplexes mein chalegi," said Deepak. Are you really serious, Deepak, or is this just another way of passing time? Aryan to act in Deepak's next film?: On Day 21, we caught Aryan trying to impress Deepak. It seems he wants to bag a role in his next film. He requested him to see his show reels that had dance sequences from his films. "John [Abraham] ne acting karke thodi na apna career banaya hain," he defended himself. Aryan dear, if only body and looks could make a star, then you would have already been a big one, isn't it? Koi baat naheen, Carol... next week chale jana: On Day 22, after Kashmera's exit from the family, everybody celebrated the moment silently, except for Ragini, Anupama and Aryan. In fact, Anupama was quite upset. Aryan sat by her side consoling her. Another person who was unhappy about it was Carol. She felt guilty and blamed herself for Kashmera's eviction. Rahul and Ravi came to her rescue and asked her to relax as it was the audience who had thrown Kashmera out, not her. Hmmm...Kashmera is bothering the girl even when she's not there in the house--quite a powerful presence indeed. Yippee! It's party time: At 6.30 p.m., Ravi was called into the confession room. Bigg Boss told him about Rakhi's birthday and said that if the gang manages to organise a surprise party, without her knowing about it, then everyone would receive a special gift from Bigg Boss. First the housemates wished Rakhi and then secretly began planning for the party. Par kya Rakhi ki nazaron se bach pana aasan hain? Dekhte hain kya hota hain!

Rakhi's surprise gift: Bigg Boss called Rakhi into the confession room. This gave the housemates a chance to sit together and plan for the party. A surprise was waiting for her in there. Bigg Boss wished her and then asked her to check the envelope lying on the table. To her surprise there was a photograph of Abhishek in it. Beaming with excitement, Rakhi picked up the photo, thanked Bigg Boss and ran out of the room to show it to everybody. Pyar kya hota hain, yeh maine ab jana!

Day 21: Kashmera packs her bags
She bitched about others, she played hardcore politics, she acted mean - but it seems none of the tricks worked for Kashmera, as she was evicted from the house of Bigg Boss on Friday. We admit that we're going to miss this 'Lal mirchi' - among the other spices of the show. Friday is always filled with fears, tears and emotions in the Bigg Boss house. This one looked like a typical 'eviction day' as the housemates sat together in the drawing room, glued to the TV. Carol and Kashmera sat together, looking tense and uncertain. Arshad asked Amit why he was not looking as cheerful as he used to be. Amit answered: 'Barish hoti hain to bheeg jate hain, dhoop milti hain to sookh jate hain, life goes on like this.' Next, Arshad asked Roopali who should be evicted and Roopali clearly pointed towards Kashmera. She also said she is very fond of Carol. When he asked Rakhi - she begged to him not to ask the question. Rahul said he wanted Carol to stay as she cooked chicken very well. Deepak Tijori laughed aloud when enquired if he was planning to make a Bhojpuri movie now. Ragini, of course, wanted Kashmera to stay. Nail-biting moment for Carol and Kashmera: Arshard asked both Carol and Kashmera, what is the first thing they would do if they're asked to leave. Carol said she would cry a lot as she is addicted to the house now. Kashmera said she would like to meet Arshad and her dog. Hmmmm...so the smart ladies have already planned their next step? Not bad! Finally, when it was time to declare the name Arshad asked both Carol and Kashmera to go and get their bags. When they were back, Anupama broke the new to Kashmera and hugged her. Everybody came ahead to say goodbye to Kashmera. Rakhi was also among them. Kashmera feels she was too honest for the show: Kashmera looked pale and as she came up the stage to meet Arshad. She said that she was quite sure that she won't be able to survive for more than four days in the house. 'I am too honest about what I feel and people are not ready for so much honesty.' She was happy about meeting friends like Aryan, Anupama and Ragini and said she would like to stay in touch with them. When Arshad showed her the clippings of this week's nominations - she admitted that Roopali's choice was quite justified as they had problems with each other, but was shocked about Rakhi. She said that Rakhi has a good heart, but at the moment she is just a hardcore player.

Green signal for Aryan: Aryan's parents looked quite happy with their son's choice. When Arshad asked them about Aryan and Anupama's love story, they said: 'Ladki to achchi hain.' Did we see Anupama blushing?

It was a tumultuous week at the house of Bigg Boss, with tempers flying high, teacups being broken and even the lovey dovey pair of Anupama and Aryan having a few tiffs.
Now, Kashmeera's exit and Rakhi's birthday celebrations seem to have cooled temperatures somewhat, with everyone settling down a little comfortably into their grooves.
Now that there has been a bit of fun, games and making up between the warring duo of Rakhi and Amit, Bigg Boss decides to put everyone to work. This week's task, to be completed by Wednesday, is to make a small table and chair for nursery children.
They are given wooden planks, nails, a hammer, oil paints and other instruments to make them, and a sample chair and table for reference.
They will then sign these tables and chairs, which will be donated to a school. Maybe all this work for a good cause will keep everyone out of each other's hair for a while, we say.
In a fit of goodwill, Rahul 'reticent' Roy decides to make tea for all the boys. The boys reciprocate by drinking it, but tell him in no uncertain terms that it was the last he time he does so. After all, not everyone likes 'English' tea!
Talk about good deeds being unappreciated. Tsk, tsk.
Anupama seems to be making her way into the 'I love to bitch' seat vacated by Kashmeera. She tells Rakhi that she doesn't like the way Roopali comes and tells her everything. And Rakhi, never one to keep quiet, responds by saying that Roopali doesn't do the same with her because she knows she'll get it back.
Now, now, Rakhi, what's with all the rancour?
