you can do it, deepak! Farah Khan
Farah roots for Deepak Parasher

Farah Khan loves Bigg Boss. "The show is rocking! Currently, I'm choreographing a number for Sajid's (Khan) Hey Baby!, but I make sure that we finish the shoot by 9 pm so that I can go home and catch the show at 10." Farah says she'll be very disappointed if Deepak Parasher is voted out. "There is a method to his madness and people should understand why he acts the way he does. The best thing about him is that nightgown! I think he should wear it everywhere. It'll become a huge fashion fad!"
Well Deepak, there's at least one fan that'll have voted for you last night!

Arshad's game plan

Arshad Warsi talks about the new mobile game launched in his name, and why he is happy hosting Bigg Boss

Ram Kamal Mukherjee

Arshad Warsi is on a roll. The actor is not only busy hosting Sony Television's much talked-about reality show Bigg Boss but is also launching his own Fight Club.

No Arshad is not quitting as an actor but is excited about Spiel Studios who has signed Arshad for developing a series of mobile games with him as the central character. The games will be developed and distributed in his name. "Two young men Mohit Surekha and Priyesh came to me because they wanted to launch this mobile game. I thought of helping them and agreed to be part of their game," says Arshad.

The soon to be launched game is called Arshad's Fight Club where Arshad will be seen fighting all the Bollywood baddies. "Yeah… I will be fighting with Gabbar, Mogambo, Shakal, Dr Dang and many other villains from Bollywood. I am a complete gizmo freak, so I am glad to do this," he adds.

Incidentally, the idea came to Mohit's mind because Arshad has a strong mass appeal and the common man can relate to him. The game will also feature some of Arshad's signature phrases like 'Mamu' and 'Bole toh' from Munnabhai.

Arshad's contract with Sony Television for Bigg Boss lasts till January 2007. He travels to Karjat every Friday and shoots one episode. "Frankly speaking I agreed to be part of Bigg Boss because I wanted to stay in Mumbai and spend time with my son Zeke. I needed a reason which could hold me back in Mumbai as I would have been traveling all through the year if I wouldn't have taken up this assignment. In case it's very important I go to Karjat from Monday to Wednesday but make it a point to be back in Mumbai by Thursday. Then I sit at the monitor to find out what the celebrities have done over the week. It's not an easy task," he says.

Incidentally, Zeke who was not used to having Arshad around earlier is more than happy to be with him. Even Arshad's wife Maria is happy with his decision. Arshad said, "Earlier Zeke was least bothered about me, but now he sees me often and he waits for me to come back home. I want to be with him for sometime. Till January no one can move me from Mumbai." Arshad is also enjoying the feedback he is getting from Bigg Boss. "I never imagined that it would become such a big show. Everyone from radio stations to electronic channels are talking about the show," he added.

But Arshad is still serious about his career in films. "I am waiting for the release of Kabul Express and I have signed a rocking film with Anil Kapoor. I am very passionate about my acting and I would never quit films, unless films quit me," he laughed.

Bobby Darling, out of 'Bigg
Boss', cannot believe it

Bobby Darling still cannot believe she has been voted out, that too by people she thought were friends. "It is the reverse voting that worked against me."

Bobby Darling still cannot believe she has been voted out, that too by people she thought were friends. "It is the reverse voting that worked against me. The voting system is all wrong. People voted for me to stay in the house and the channel mistakenly thought it is to get me out."

"I had just about started bonding with everyone, I am really feeling very low. Had I got saved this week, I would have been there for four or five more weeks."

Bobby says everyone in the house wanted Deepak Parashar out. "People there told me that they expected Deepak to be out. He cooks horrible food."

Talking about life in the house, Bobby says, "The toilet had no bolts, there was less water and it was impossible to bathe in the time allotted to us. And to top it all, some of the girls would keep the toilet so dirty that sometimes I almost threw up. The swimming pool is dirty too. Most girls were lazy and would keep passing the work on."

Bobby, however, says she is going to make the most of her freedom now. "I will attend the screening of my film 'Apna Sapna Money Money' and will enjoy myself."

Grace under fire

(Posted on 10 November 2006)

I confess. I have sat glued through all the episodes of Bigg Boss thus far,
insufferable as they have all been. In my mind, I curse the ordinariness of the celebs chosen (Amit Sadh, for Gawd's sake!!), mutter abuses while cranking up the volume to catch the whispered conversations, and yawn through the Bigg Boss' disjointed instructions. But I haven't missed a single minute so far, and am dying to know whether it will be Deepak Parashar or Bobby Darling who gets booted out this week.

Is it the novelty of the show on Indian airwaves? Is it the lack of better alternatives on other channels? Or is it plain voyeurism that wins over all other reasons? You get to see Carol Gracias waking up with no make up on, and where else would you watch Rakhee Sawant roll out chapatis and wring clothes out to dry? Rupali Ganguly's frequent crying bouts tug at your heartstrings, and Salil Ankola's efforts at chopping firewood, tell you a thing or two about the real brawn of macho men.

These folks are not top class celebs, but for a nation as awestruck by celebs of any hue as we are, they do just fine.

The channel has chosen well. The women are the right mix of bitchiness and
sentimentality, the guys are either flirts or earnest gentlemen, and Bobby
Darling, is well, Bobby Darling. In the first week itself, participants have
got down to the serious business of forming groups and pairs, and there have
been gossip sessions galore. The Bigg Boss' tasks could have been more
creative, and the days at the Big House more structured. But hey, with just
so many soaps for competition on the other buttons of the remote, who's
complaining?

Couch potato's femme fatale of the week

Definitely Rakhee Sawant. She throws her comments around on the Bigg Boss premises as easily as she wields a mop to clean the floor and wash her clothes as well as her friends'. I am fast revising my opinion of this lady with the famous big mouth.

S uprisingly from the House's , point of view, but maybe not surprising for audiences, it's Bobby Darling who was evict- ed from Sony's reality show Bigg Boss last night. We spoke to Bob- by, who lost out to co-contestant Deepak Parasher, who may have irked fellow residents with his mother hen act, but won over au- diences. I On being the first one out: I think the voting pattern is flawed. The audience should be allowed to vote for everybody and the one with the least number of votes should be eliminated. It's unfair that two names are nomi- nated for the audience to choose from. I On needing the money for her surgery: I certainly didn't deserve to go out first. I could have easily been there for four five weeks. I On Deepak Parasher: He tried to mother all of us and behave like the leader of the group, which I certainly didn't like. The way he would put cer- tain things was not right. Also I think he tried to win hearts by getting up earlier than of us and trying to cook for us. Anyway the food he made was bland and ter- rible and every day we would end up wasting a lot of what he made. I On fellow contestants: Rakhi Sawant. She was the only one who cared for me. Even Anu- pama Verma is a nice girl whose heart is clean. Even she had be- come fond of me. In fact I feel bad because I was getting to know all of them better and the eviction happened. The others will defi- nitely miss the chatpata khana that I cooked for them. I Any regrets: Yes, I should not have opened all my cards. I should have main- tained a low profile and been diplomatic about my feelings. I think somebody like me was a misfit there, but it's all right. I'd do it again if I was offered the chance. I'm sure God has some- thing better planned for me. I am released from the House and my film Apna Sapna Money Money has released…so it feels nice.

Bobby plays Bigg Goss

Bobby Darling loved some of the 12 celebrities she lived with in the Bigg Boss house. And hated the others…

Ram Kamal Mukherjee

Bobby Darling joined Bigg Boss because she wanted to earn some money for a sex-change operation. "I am sure my hard work will earn me money. I have now realised that most of the celebrities in Big Boss are fake and they all hated me," she says.

Deepak Parashar used to cook bland food

While most celebrities rave about Deepak Parashar's cooking skills, Bobby disagrees. "He used to make too much food and his curries were always bland. He is clueless about how much food one should cook for 13 people. Every night we has to throw away all the excess food. I have seen how most of the celebrities supported Deepak because he used to cook. They depicted me as kaamchor, but I also cooked, and they all liked my food," she says. According to Bobby, although Deepak pretends to be a father figure, he is foul-mouthed.

Most of the contestants are sexually frustrated

Bobby feels that the celebrities miss their respective partners and are sexually frustrated. "It's very natural. How can you live without sex for three months? There's no scope of having sex anywhere, not even in the bathroom, since there are no locks on the bathroom doors. Everywhere else, there were cameras. I think most of the celebrities are irritated and are using foul words because they are sexually frustrated," she says.

Kashmeera is manipulative

Bobby is shocked with the manipulative nature of the celebrities. "Kashmeera is a kaamchor and indulges in house politics. She is trying hard to get Rakhi Sawant into her team. But Rakhi is a good soul. She might be loud, but her heart is in the right place. If she dislikes anything, she speaks out. I am sure Rakhi will emerge victorious in the show," she predicts.

Rupali is a vamp

Bobby cannot get over the treatment Rupali Ganguly meted out to her. "She gave me a nasty look as soon as she entered the house. I was sure she would be the vamp in the group," says Bobby.

The girls are unhygenic and would go without taking a shower for days

Bobby was surprised to find some of the female contestants to be unhygenic. "I used the women's washroom and was shocked to see the level of hygiene the girls observed — sanitary pads and razors were strewn around," she says.

I shall never forgive Salil Ankola for abusing me

It was recently reported that Bobby was in love with Salil. "It was a misunderstanding. I never confessed my love to Salil. In fact, he abused me. He called me names, when I had done nothing to him. Later, we stopped talking altogether. Finally on Thursday, he came up to me and hugged me, which according to me was an apology," she says.

Aryan is a big flirt

Aryan, according to Bobby is constantly on the look-out for a partner and is trying to woo Anupama Verma currently. Although they project to share some great chemistry, in reality Anupama is not interested in Aryan. "He has a good body and is handsome. It's natural that he'll look for someone to spend the three months with. He is a flirt by nature, but not a bad human being. He is enjoying the show and takes everything sportingly," she says.

Carol is smart

Bobby feels that Carol had the guts to confess that she voted out Bobby from the show. "Carol doesn't talk too much. She keeps to herself and is cordial to everyone," she says.

Ravi Kishen is Brutus, he back-stabbed me

Bobby was initially impressed with Ravi Kishen, but soon after the elimination she realised that it was Ravi who had voted her out from the show. "I was surprised. He is like Brutus. He requested me to vote him out because he was missing his family, that's why I voted for Deepak and Ravi. But later I realised he had voted me out. Ravi was extremely sweet to me, he promised that he would ask his friend to make a website for me and introduce me to Bhojpuri films. The next minute he votes me out," fumes Bobby.

Rakhi Sawant is a genuine person

Bobby believes Rakhi is the real star. "Mark my words, if anyone benefits from the show, it will be Rakhi. She is hard-working and political by nature. Whatever she does on the show is genuine," says Bobby.

'Rakhi Sawant is an angel!'

Bobby Darling on being ousted from Bigg Boss, friendship with Rakhi and confusion about the voting system

DEEPALI DHINGRA

Angry and disappointed is what Bobby Darling—who prefers being called 'she'—is feeling at the moment. Angry, because she believes that she should not have been the one to have been ousted out of Sony's Big Boss and disappointed, because her dream of winning enough money for her sex change operation will take longer now. So who does she blame for her ouster? "It was the voting system. People voted for me thinking that they're voting for me to be in the house but it was actually the other way around," she believes. Bobby says that she doesn't blame the inmates of the house, who had nominated her name for the ouster. "In fact, they came to me later and apologised for nominating my name," she adds. Even though some of the celebrities inside the house have started feeling low, Bobby says that she would love to go back. "We had just started bonding. Rakhi Sawant has become such a good friend of mine. That girl is an angel! She was always making me laugh. And let me tell you one thing — she keeps calling herself a mirchi but she's a mircha! She's a tomboy at heart. It's my prediction that she will win this show," says Bobby. Bonding with Rakhi aside, was there anyone she had a problem with in particular? "Oh yes!" exclaims Bobby, "Deepak Parashar is a total misfit in the house. He was insecure. He's the oldest and since he would wake up early, he would prepare bland food for everyone," she recalls, obviously not fond of the man.
But Bobby wants to forget about her ouster now. "Let bygones be bygones. I'm looking forward to my movie Apna Sapna Money Money now," she says. She's also decided not to watch the show anymore because it will only add to her depression. "But even without watching the show, I will keep voting for Rakhi," she adds. Obviously, Bobby still hasn't got the hang of the voting system!

Will Mugdha play Carol Gracias?

Madhur Bhandarkar's film on the fashion world might star her

RAUL DIAS Times News Network a

While model Carol Gracias seems to be in seclusion, thanks to her being part of Sony's Bigg Boss, guess who is all set to play her on the big screen?
According to sources, model Mugdha Godse has been cast as Carol by Madhur Bhandarkar in his latest film Fashion, which is based on the 'controversial' world of the fashion industry. "I can neither confirm nor deny this," says a tight-lipped Mugdha who was recently spotted with Madhur at a fashion show, exchanging notes with him. "Nothing is concrete about the film yet. As for me being a part of the film or not, Madhur is the best person to answer this," she says.
Madhur echoes Mugdha's statement when he says that nothing about Fashion has been finalised yet. As for Mugdha being a part of the cast, all I can say is wait and watch!," laughs Madhur.
So will there be a sequence depicting Carol's now infamous fashion week wardrobe malfunction? "I have written all sorts of sequences for the film and don't know if the malfunction sequence will be there when the script is finally ready. All I can say is that Fashion will show the human and emotional side of the fashion industry," says Madhur.

Why is Ravi Kissen bitching about Nagma?

BHARTI DUBEY Times News Network

Bhojpuri star Ravi Kissen has been bitching about his co-star Nagma on Sony's Bigg Boss show. Now that's surprising because there has been buzz for almost a year now about Ravi and Nagma being a couple. Not just that, a few months back, Ravi had even gone on record about his feelings for Nagma. Of course, Nagma has maintained that they are just friends.
On the Bigg Boss show apparently, Ravi has been talking negatively about Nagma to Aryan Vaid. According to a source, "Ravi has been talking about Nagma in a degrading manner and it's certainly not in good taste. Maybe they have fallen out and that's why he is doing so. Aryan too continued the conversation till Ravi cut it short saying 'Be careful, everything is being recorded here.'" However, this portion of the show is likely to get edited, as Nagma is still doing a couple of Bhojpuri films with the actor.
Now the big question: Is Ravi doing so to save his marriage? Apparently, after reports of their their alleged affair, Ravi's wife Preeti almost walked out on him. He had to work hard to save his marriage. Now it's surprising that he's been talking about his wife on the show, that was telecast a few days ago.
And, well, in recent times, the wife also seems to have made sure that she is standing right next to her hubby at all filmi dos!
