A lot was edited out of the Weekend show, especially Salman's comments. In this video, around the 2:40 mark, Armaan says that Kushal is nothing. Salman disagrees and says no, he is a star. Earlier he questions why Armaan is fighting with Sofia at 1:00 mark. This was edited out as well.

Though it looks like Salman is picking sides, i think it is the producers of the show who are cutting a lot of Salman's comments out to make a story about #unfairSalman since it is generating so much attention.
This is probably one of the reasons why Salman wants to leave. They are USING him for TRP.
