Armaan was wrong. Elli several times showed her discomfort and displeasure. Yet Armaan continued with his crude remarks. Not everyone can openly protest and certainly not Elli who sounds too timid. But she did ask him to stop and he should have respected that. Equally worse was Pratyusha the way she blamed and reprimanded Elli!

For me all of them are paid entertainers who are paid, ...and perform on TV, so that I watch an hour's episode, and get entertained, just like all of you get entertained by their acts and antics.😛

I merely offer an observation. Its up to friends here to see merit in that or point out that my observance is at variance from what they perceive as reality!

As for your points...no, you are not correct. This 'Chhammak-Chhallo' bit was edited out from episode.

Check karo oopar se neeche was Pratyusha's comment and she was the one rolling her eyes up and down all over Elli's body. Someone even pointed out here that even when Pratyusha said this, Armaan's gaze was fixed at Elli's face only. You can re-run the episode again to verify.

Yes, I condemn this "Ya toh kiss kar deta hoon, ya kapde phaad deta hoon' dialogue. That was weird and totally avoidable!👎🏼

@ Bold : Wrong! Armaan too ran his eyes all over Elli's body just as Pratyusha did.

Proof :

Ok you people need to understand that whenever a girl says I'll slap you that means the acceptable limit of a joke has already been crossed.

If you are a man or a woman the time to step back and apologize is when a girl says I'll slap you.

If you are a woman, when another woman tells a man that she'll slap him, that's your signal that things have gone beyond acceptable and NOW is your time to take a stand for another woman.

Never thought I'll have to spell out something as basic as this.

Whatever u r saying is right , but as Kamya said that day , Armaan & Elli are always joking around with each other , so when she said " Thappad Maarungi " all of a sudden , The aggressive got surprised & given his nature he reacted in a way he shouldnt had & Pratyusha should've told him to stop.

I m not defending Armaan here , just stating my POV , more than Armaan i feel Pratyusha was at fault coz being a girl she was also enjoying how Armaan was bullying Elli that time.

Would you say that more than a killer, the person who accompanies the killer is at bigger fault. The fault always lies with the person who commits the crime. Bystanders and friends are guilty as accessories to the crime and not as the perpetrators.

You know this is the mentality that needs to change - finding excuse for the men guilty of gender crimes. Somehow everyone is at fault - the weather, the stray-dog on the road, the friend, the bystander, the clothes the victim wore, the tone in which the victim spoke, the victim herself, everybody and everything except the criminal himself.

Woh to bechara bhola hai. Woh Punjabi/Pathan/Thakur/Sant/Bhagwan/Neta/Dada hai, uski insult kyon kari. Use mana kyon kiya. Use Na kaha to zor se kyon kaha, ya phir zor se kyon nahi kaha, publicly kyon kaha, yo phir publicly kyon nahi kaha. Galti ladki ki hai - use waise kapde nahi pehan ke aan chahiye tha, use waise bolna nahi chahiye tha, use paida nahi hona chahiye tha.

Like I said when a girl says I'll slap you the line of joking has already been crossed and I cannot emphasize this point over much.

Im just saying that if Pratyusha, being a girl understood that Elli was getting uncomfortable by Armaan's "jokes" , she should've stopped him right there & Since these two share a good bond , it was quite possible that Armaan would've listened to her .

Green - Well , as Cruiser ji said , U guys are taking this matter way too seriously , How does an incident in a half-scripted show comes close to those which are happening in this country at the moment.

Last line - Okk, i second you.

I'll tell you why it's a big deal. It's because every time something like this takes place we trivialize it - even in real life. So many times when friends, relatives, strangers, colleagues have crossed the line of decency girls tend to ignore it and then pay for that one mistake with a lifetime of regrets. Stop the crime before it is committed not punish the guilty after the crime. t the point when somebody crosses the line, the very first time, then is the moment to create a hue and cry about it.

I'm not even talking of Pratyusha's behavior here. And how should the behavior of a twenty something bimbo be a guide to a 50+ man in how he should behave with women?

I'll give you one example - If you remember the season when Sameer Soni and Dolly Bindra had their famous altercation. The two were extremely angry, close o violence, screaming their lungs out at each other and almost standing nose-to-nose - yet Sameer did not say one obscene thing to Dolly. he di not cross the line of decency. Wouldn't you say that Sameer had enough provocation to cross the line?

The point we are all trying to make is that Arman has that cheap mentality that is reflected in his behavior and attitude everyday. He has crossed a line that he should not have. And the line that he would strip Elli - BB did not show that line when it was actually said, Arman went and told the rest of the housemates that this was the way he reacted to Elli's objection to which the silly girl was crying. He did not realize or accept that he had made a mistake even then. And he went to apologize not because he felt bad about his behavior but because Elli was still upset about it.

I thought very hard about the issue and if I'm over-reacting - and honestly the answer is No. And frankly I call out my father too if he ever makes a sexist comment - and the poor man is the most upright and ethical person I've come across in life.

This article clearly mentioned the sequence in a 34 slides by leaving a question mark at the end :

Bigg Boss 7: Was Armaan Kohli sexually harassing Elli Avaram as other contestants laughed?

Armaan flaunts in front of the other contestants that when Elli threatened to slap him, he said "Abhi Dekho aisa hai ki, jo thappad mereko maarte hai, mai ya toh pappi le leta hu, ya kapde phaad deta hu"
Then he goes on to ask, "Isme Bura Kya Hai Batao?" He was greeted with laughter from the other inmates except form Sangram who later requested Bigg Boss to give him some power so that he can fight such stuff.

Sexual harassment of women has become a prime concern for the nation, and despite people voicing their concern over the seriousness of the matter, we have clearly failed to register the gravity of the issue.

The question is have we learnt nothing?

I m on Elli s side ,i think prats and armaan was just too much, just becoz elli is sweet that y they kept on overdoing it ,i also understood that he was joking but he crossed the line and got agressive by her sudden thapad marungi dialog ,but what i dint like was when she was hurt ,wasnt he is supose to say sorry ,wasnt prats supose to explain that dont say kapde fadna was something he shoudnt have said.Instead everyone is telling Elli she is wrong ,she shoudnt have said thapped marungi n all,i think Elli only mistake is she coudnt say strongly dont do this with me,she said but in a very soft tone .I totally understand her,So if you ask whose mistake i would armaan ,becoz the man should to talk a younger lady ,to know how to respect a lady, using such disgusting words even in joke is a crime according to me.Thinking of tearing the clothes of lady even in a joke is a crime .Armaan is ugly old man ,he should behave as per his age .People were against rajeev last year but sana liked it ,he never used such words while armaan has no class ,roadside romio types.
