BB16 is a superhit because they've managed to cast a diverse group of personalities -actors, director, rapper, singer, reality star, etc & they're giving everyone screentime unlike last season which flopped because of over-promoting a certain couple. ⭐️

Also, they went back to basics this season -no ridiculous themes, less tasks & more of developing their characters, which was the original premise of the show pre-BB7. 👍🏼

Most importantly, Bigg Boss's direct involvement was the key factor in this season's success, which brought a fresh new change & viewers are enjoying it. 👏

The masterstroke this season seems to be lack of any proper tasks and lame fights over ration....that seems to have worked for them TRP wise😆.

I also only watched this season for Priyankit cuz I found them real in a sea of fakers😆.....rest most BB seasons have contestants that play up more obviously for the cameras and I lose interest. Priyankit have been engaging to watch even in all their shades - even the messy ones😆.....just something very watchable about them even as they over-react or under-react about some things....it genuinely feels like watching a natural equation unfold without some kind of forcing of what is the "correct reaction" at any given time😆.

@Bold Bang on! I've said the same to fans who've been ranting about lack of physical tasks this season. Just because BB13, which is their most successful season had physical fights in it, creatives thought that's what fetches TRP & they started designing tasks which would lead to dhakka mukki & stopped focusing on character development.

BB13 became so successful because of the characters, which audiences were able to relate & connect to, not because of dhakka mukki/physical fights. BB15 had so many such extreme physical tasks & fights, but it became their biggest flop season as viewers weren't able to root for/connect with anyone. The new creatives went back to basics this season & it worked in their favor & BB16 became a big hit!

All the contestants this time got their dare share of screentime and everyone had a role to play (even the early evicted ones like Manya and Gori) and plus contestants like Abdu and Stan brought a whole new audience to BB hence why this season is a hit

Anything is better than last year so maybe it feels.like it's been two years since last big boss loool

That's because this season has a varied range of personalities and every contestant is contributing uniquely to the show. Unlike past few seasons where there were only few rivals and the whole season revolved around them. Everyone else were background characters. Or the show revolved around just one couple the whole season. The variety in this season is also making it difficult for makers to even conduct proper weekly eliminations 🤪.
