It’s funny - I’m appalled, but not really surprised that the uproar and sympathy is for the doer - Pratik, and not the one at the receiving end - Rajiv.

It’s an unfortunate staple on this show - jiske zyaada fans - usko zyaada sympathy. No matter what. And as I said - it’s appalling.

And the comparisons are utterly juvenile - nothing anyone has engaged in there - jokes, camaraderie, provocation, property destruction, violence in tasks - is comparable to homophobic mocking and harassment. Because the latter are not friendly, and neither are they spur of the moment things that come out as a result of provocation and or a heated situation - they’re intentional. Brought about by a mindset.

And it pissed me off to no end when he wouldn’t even accept initially the shit he did - only jumping to apologising when he realized Sallu was not going to let it go. And when the likes of Pratik, Vishal and Nishant, and then later Karan and Shamita as well - kept trying to dilute the issue by stressing ke Pratik ka “intention” nahi tha. Trying to make it seem ke it came across wrong but wasn’t meant to be. Wtf? I’d like someone to ask these people - how on earth does one make fun of another’s sexuality like this - without intention?

And I’d be grateful if Pratik would therefore STFU with his whole “‘mera tumhe hurt karne ka intention genuinely nahi tha, mera woh meaning genuinely nahi tha, blah blah blah”. Because Pratik has been an adult for quite some time now - and if he doesn’t know by now that homophobic harassment is hurtful, then I don’t know what to say. And then he has the nerve to contend ke others don’t own up to their actions.

What this has done, more than anything else - is shown viewers that Pratik isn’t the sweet little innocent that can be annoying but never truly shitty. Viewers other than his fans of course.

As I said. I am simply shocked. Essays written on Shamita / teja / karan ke tears.

And something that has to be direct eviction. Ignored.

This is another example of class divide. While people find it so easy to have consensus on someone like affo ka eviction, pratik hype means we keep looking at “sorry” and intention… . Arrey. Affo said she had no intention to hurt herself. But didn’t we all agree it’s best that she was gone (including myself?

worst part we forget. Big celebrities. People in news business have looked at cameras daily / smiled. Etc. And come out decades later about harassment. Yet we apply a different standard here. Hence am shocked.

This is sad, free pass to the one who is harrassing someone sexually. On the other hand they can easily evict Affo.(i dont support what Affo did that day) Lekin Pratik ka behaviour was also equal to worst and need eviction.

Oh pls Pratik is an innocent bacha...don't blame him...

When he doesn't know the how wrong it is to open bathroom latch when a girl is taking a bath.

Than how can he understand that homophobic jokes and acts accounts to harassment..

He is a poor mandbuddhi 🤢 have some sympathy😭

If there are people who genuinely believe Pratik sexually harassed Rajiv, why are you guys continuing to watch and support the show?

You should stop watching and let BB know on Twitter. Yahan giani ban ke kya hoga. Sexual harassments is a serious issue and if you truly believe Pratik has gotten away scot-free, maybe you should ask yourself why am I still watching and commenting on this cheap show which supports criminals.

Instead, people will be righteous and just type away on forum while still watching the show to just support already rich/famous celebs.

Aur yeh baar baar ho raha hai per your opinion but you keep watching, kya fyada? BB ko kaunsa asar parega, woh bhi TRP ka rahe yeh ki log dekh ke hor baat kar rahe hai :/

And if it was harassment clear-cut, why didn't rest of the housemates speak up? So everyone is complicit in Pratik's harassments.

Was sure someone would defend the indefensible and wonder why no one spoke up....

You see they did.. even used the word harassment and in fact Sallu even said in no unclear terms that line was crossed and Pratik admitted it

Just like we dont stop watching news when newscasters came out and said they been harassed and have been carrying it for years..... same thing applies here..

Wish it was a matter of simple belief. The harassment in this case is clear (and on camera) and likely more than what we were shown even...

Sorry is not enough... never enough for such things.... sorry to say...

Is Pratik gay by any chance or bi. Otherwise it doesn't make sense for him to continually hound Rajiv if he's straight.

My point is if it was so clearly harassment, why were housemates quiet as well? From elder members like Shamita, Jay, Karan to younger ones like Umar and Simba? Maybe it's clear to us because we don't see daily interactions. These people have been joking about Rajiv for a long time, sometimes he gets angry, sometimes no. They themselves are confused what is Rajiv miffed by and did not intervene for "clear-cut" harassment. It's that same thing with Teja/Vishal and dirty jokes. Now, everyone is more clear and alert with their actions. I don't take Salman's words for gospel regardless.

"Likely more" is just speculation. If it is "likely more", it probably involves Karan, Umar and whoever's name was taken since they all joke about him.

if "sorry" is not enough, stop watching and commenting on the show. You should not watch shows where people get sexually harassed live and brushed off with apology. Why are the viewers here still watching? Waiting for Pratik to get punishment and watch him get hurt? That's everyone's twisted fantasy.

You cannot compare news with BB; it's not a fair comparison. On news, things don't happen live, newsreaders recount incidents that have already happened. The newsreaders are third parties who are not involved in those incidents. In BB, incidents happen in front of the audience and involve the same housemates who we watch (and by default, support) everyday. If this issue truly distresses you, then you too take a stand and stop supporting the show. Because BB won't, don't you see who they have as a host?

Why would viewers want anyone to get hurt? This is exactly the point... There is nothing likely about this.. there is no doubt about it... the perpetrator has admitted it, the HMs too have ... and apology does not cut it.... Harassment is Harassment ..... It does not matter whether it takes place on BB or with newsreaders. It's worse that it happens on BB as its actually captured on camera and is known to the team immediately upon it happening. Hence there is no need for anyone to react or other HMs or even the victim to raise it.... thats a known and acceptable standard..

I guess, we in the western world, have a different standard. Here we believe in a zero-tolerance policy..

I am pretty sure he'll put his - into anything. He seems that kind, sorry.

But honestly? he seems desperate. Looks like perverted entertainment from any place is cool for him.
