I didn't expect that from Kashmeera, tbh, especially when Krishna was so cold towards Shukla. This SidArt thing was plain BS. Another irritating thing about Shukla is that he is not apologetic about his behavior - I remember when Vikas was telling him - during the connection week - to not to abuse Asim's father, he was trying to justify his action.

I think part of the problem is that we look at actors on the basis of the characters they portray on the TV so it gets difficult to shake off the positive image we have on our mind - maybe.

Kash was such a disappointment. Allowing a bully to abuse and trash talk her nannad and then trying to set her up with the same guy. Kudos to your blunt AF attitude!

Yes, krushna was pretty cold. Didn't change his stance after entering.

And I think the character persona washes off after a while. You can't see a hero in Shukla because he doesn't behave like one. But people see what they want to. When I see a jerk with no control over his words and actions, there are many who see a real man with just a flawed personality. To each his own I guess.

Thank you.

Couldn't hv expressed it any better.

I hv read so many tym dt we the "haters" are people who are superficial and don't put efforts to understand the deeper meaning of things .

What a person does defines him ......we shouldn't hv to look deep. It doesn't matter if you are Saint inside ......if don't act like one....you aren't one .

Wish people would understand.

Anyways loved the post .

Shukla's every positive attribute is served to us by somebody else. We never see him acting upon it.

People are seen cleaning up his image with nonsense like , He means well, he is kind hearted, is a good friend and so on. If it is so, then how come no one can see it?

Kashmeera did this. Devoleena changed her tune as well, while in the house she literally had a breakdown because of him and had to go inside the bathroom and yell out profanities to feel better. But now suddenly he is not such a bad guy?

Same on SM. Post an old DSDT picture of Shukla, because the current ones rouse a different kind of emotion in people, and call him one man army, Mr. Akela, the protective lover, the team player, and it gets flooded with likes.

Meanwhile on the show, he mostly rages like a bull, hurls abuses and insults to his friends and enemies alike, laughs maniacally after passing particularly nasty comments and is often seen either sleeping or lying on the bed or sofa while ordering Arti and Sana around.

Because the imagined goodness in shukla is along the same line as the imaginary epic love of sidnaaz. Both need essays and strong imagination to actually be visible. Mann ki ankon se dikhoge toh hi dikhega 🤪

Visit the sidnaaz thread its a hoot. The tiniest gesture imagined or otherwise is analyzed to death to feed into the “epic love story” narrative. Jo saamne dikhta he ki shukla treats sana worse than a street dog 🐕 is actually given a blind eye.

Mann ki ankh indeed😆. God knows why only shukla supporters possess such a rose tinted vision. We must be really cynical that we are unable to see such innate goodness of Shukla and appreciate the love story of a freaking real man!

Great post and the Bojack comparison is brilliant!

There is an obsession for perfection especially among celebrities, so much so that we find it difficult to accept that the person who plays an adarsh husband on television can be a misogynist off it. It shouldn't be surprising, since they're playing a character after all. We prefer to project their screen character traits onto their real life.

I suppose this is why BB fans like the show. The pressure of the show & the length of it tends to bring out the real person behind the celebrity, shedding the image they carefully maintain outside.

Yes, true. And it goes both way. Women are compared with the bahu character they portrayed on the TV.
