Shukla finally realizes Asim's potential

When Shukla denied captaincy to Asim today, its because he truly looked like a potential winner. He has had a few winner moments in the show already, but now, even Shukla has understood where Asim stands. Paras is a total dumbass (which made the katputli task lots of fun to watch so no complaints! ), but Shukla is smart enough and must have noticed these things this week:

- Asim won the task CLEARLY on top because he was the only person who gave a letter, got a letter, and became a captaincy contender.

- With the absence of a captain in the house, the housemates were automatically going to and listening to Asim/Rashmi for duties division. Asim was also sorting out a dishes issue with Vishal in the bathroom for Mahira. That's true leadership.

- Shukla spends all his time with Sana/Mahira/Paras who all think Asim is a total loser. In the secret room, he could listen in on everybody for the first time and he realized Asim is actually well-liked and respected in the house, and has separate friendships with everybody in the house outside the Shukla bubble. In fact, socially he is much stronger because Shukla's whole world is his group, whereas Asim has different levels of friendship with everyone.

- Asim gave the letter to Aarti. Shukla visibly appreciated it. Everybody knows how sensitive Aarti is, and if anyone would truly appreciate the gesture and cherish the letter, it would be her.

- Even though there were plenty of opportunities, Asim never bitched about anybody.

So, I think when Sid comes back now, we will see a completely new and transformed relationship between him and Asim. I'm sure they won't patch up, but personally, I feel like they will be cordial now. Asim's main problem with Sid is that he didn't respect him as an equal. I think that has changed. That's also the reason why Shukla denied Asim the captaincy straight away. Shukla's state of mind was "This pakao guy is trying to be a hero." Now, his state of mind is "This guy has the potential of being a hero, so I need to stop it at the root."

Yeah I agree. Sid for all his flaws is smart when it comes to reading the game and competition! I hope they don’t become friends but have a cordial relationship!

Also looks like Vishal is getting cornered by everyone, only Asim might be standing with him.

I've liked all your posts so far with no exception . This one too is beautifully penned down.

It would've been good to see if asim was sent to SR . Paras didn't take any benefit from it , it ws dumb of him that all the things he could do with the advantage provided to him , he just flushed them down because of his jealousy . Not a great mastermind I'd say. I also like asim and rashmi's bond these past days. I wish they remain like this , someone should be there to take a stand for another. About shukla , i won't say anything . Better not to say, ppl get offended very easily .

But I didn't like that Shukla denied Asim captaincy even when Paras said that he is deserving . This shows how much of a hatred, jealousy and insecurity he has towards Asim. Haters keep calling asim a snake. But today shukla clearly showed who is a snake. Vikas did nothing much in the task still he gave him captaincy . Captaincy contender was to be decided on the basis of how they performed not on how his personal equation is with that person. This perfectly shows his mindset.

I m sure when he will return he will try to compete with asim and better his game . So ultimately shukla has an advantage over him. Lets see what is the outcome of the SR stay on his performance

So true! There were moments in the SR, where from Shukla's facial expressions you could see Shukla's opinion of Asim change.

He was taken aback initially as how articulate Asim sounds when he argues. He realized that Asim's words carry a lot of substance and his comebacks are witty and impactful.

There were small glimpses of amusement and admiration for him and you could see him softening towards Asim. He must now see Asim the way the audience sees him and it hit him that he is way more likable than he thought.

And then Bam! there was envy because everything he thought about Asim or was fed by Paras, Sana and Mahira was a facade as delusional as Paras and Mahira's delusions. The people who he laughed at are the real heroes, and his friends and he are the jokes.

Shukla is rethinking his whole game now.

If he comes back and is nice to Asim it's like accepting defeat and he'll end up being just a side kick of the Hero. But being with Paras and listening to him against Asim will make him the side kick of the clown Paras.

Now we have to wait and watch his game when he recovers and reenters.

he will be neutral. Abu Malik did mention in a interview that Shukla wanted Asim to win. Idk if its true. However colors can be colorless, they always play dirty. They still favour damad and some senior executives also like Rashmi.

He has a big fat ego. Even if he realized that Asim has potential I don't think he will sort out things with Asim.
