i agree with all of u
this show is amazing
the actors are also doing amazing now i just hope that the PH and channel support them
i love our indian history, culture, food, and clothes they are so beautiful
i don't live in India anymore but still love our India
our history is so inspirational, our history is a will to fight for our life when we are not able too
people say "its just a history, history is not gone help u for your future" this makes so angry like seriousely why are thinking weather its gone help u or not, people also say that "what is so big deal about it" whenever they says this to me i thnk to myself your are part of it. and u don't like it shame on u people
u should be proud of it
it represent who we are...
i am so fascinated with our history
i hope the Indian channels make some more true stories
so that we can know about our history i crave to know about our history

I dont like that JA show, the mughals were cruel, converted so many people to islam forcibly, they were given incentive in order to be freed from slavery so they converted to islam; Akbar alone killed 6 lac hindus, I dont see what is so great about him! 😡
The world's largest library was Nalanda University till it was destroyed by muslim invaders!!
And surprisingly non-indians love Indian culture, the food and clothes but sadly my own kin and collegues say that I should not wear Indian clothes! 😡 I never listen to them 😆
Yes people love UK like they are godsend, but they are the ones that translated our scriptures in such a way that we would hate our culture, they misinterpreted so many things, and sad part is people believe them over their own people.
My grandfather is a freedom fighter and I will tell you that people just pay attention to freedom fighters on 15th Aug and 26th Jan, its a sad situation, only if people had the same passion for their country as people did in those days of the independence movement! ⭐️

kudos 2 all! (Including ur grandfather) :)

I am really proud of such a brave warrior who struggled and was winner as no one could bow him down ever 👏

@Bold RED - That is the problem! And I also wonder why it happens!

History books seem to have an agenda of their own. The krantikaris are ignored and their names are just taken in commas and encapsulated in a paragraph. Only their violent acts are mentioned. But their philosophy, their impact on nation's psyche at that time, the way they rocked the British rule in India and their vision for the country is ignored! For eg., Bhagat Singh wasn't just a guy a shot a Brit officer and then got arrested! He was also a prodigy, a scholar and a visionary!

But no. Books will duly ignore it and only sing Gandhi ji raag as if only he got us freedom.

History books are all about Muslim invaders yaar!😡 I do not understand why this obsession with Muslim invaders (not just Mughals)! While Ashoka, Samudragupta, Chandragupta, Kanishka, Shivaji, Harshvardhan etc. are reduced to two bit paragraphs in a single chapter!🤢

If they have so much obsession with invaders, then why we do not have enough details about other invaders like Dutch, Greek and French?

They even ignore geographical locations. For eg., history of North east, south and areas like Rajasthan is more or less sidelined. It is as if it is all about Delhi, MP, UP, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bengal and Punjab!😲 What was going on in other states and regions?

Even in folklore, the chatur Birbal is much explored. While Tenali Raman is ignored. Why this selectivity?

Sorry to say, but Indians have obsession for anything foreign. Including some of our "founding fathers". I mean, Nehru's alleged affair with Edwina Mountbatten and their story is now pop culture lore! So called desh ki first family's scion, Rajiv Gandhi married a foreign origin woman and now that woman only is the unofficial karta-dharta of this country.

We copy foreign stuff (Ekta Kapoor ji, even tried to present Mahabharat in Troy style in the legendary Kahani Hamare Mahabharat Ki!🤢), we long for foreign stuff, we are attracted more by foreign stuff, we rejoice the most at foreign recognition (I wonder if Satyajit Ray is considered the greatest filmmaker for his quality of work or because he got Oscar!).

A land that has only some 60+ years of existence in freedom and spent thousands of years being invaded by some race or the other, is bound to have less aura for what is theirs and be more curious or in awe of foreign stuff.

Obsession with anything foreign is a double edged sword. Some love it and are in awe of it. While some, who are all swadeshi etc., check it out only to diss it and compare it to our own culture and then bash it.😆 In any case, foreign stuff gets more response and curiosity.

@Bold BLUE - Wow!👏 Really yaar! I don't understand why people are more interested in covert tactics and strategic "politeness" of Akbar while Maharana Pratap is reduced to a mere local hero for people of Rajasthan state!😲

I'd anyday have more respect for a man who kept standing firm like a rock and never bowed down to anyone be it by force or such covert meethi chhuri tactics - than be in awe of someone who was polite and gentle, and kind that too for progressing his own selfish interests!

People lionize Akbar way too much for being an exception among Mughals who were basically violent and cruel towards Indians. But I do not think that is reason enough to lionise him!

Surely I am proud of Maharana Pratap and other such heroes and heroines of OUR OWN soil. And I wish their legends are explored more and presented better to all masses of modern India.

I'm following this show since start. This show has a gr8 potential , the only prob is the PACE ... They shud speed up a little wid d story line

I agree Guru's role is not clear. He seems to b interested to punish than to polish his students. For example, 108 Suryanamskar at one go that too on a very first day of training without any previous practice of the same... I feel that was too much

Im not comparing but d similar training was shown in Chandragipta Maurya. There Acharya was strict but wasnt rude... CVs shud watch d videos of CGM which cud help here.

And yes, d marketing of this brilliant show has done on poor level. And for this channel is to b blamed. Today v have a trend JO DIKHTA HAI, WAHI BIKTA HAI... Y they r not promoting it, God knows.
Sony only promotes KBC nd Indian Idol. Which affects on their daily soaps. Sony TVs rankings were always low Bcoz of their this attitude or there cud b some probs in trp counting wid this channel...

Contiloe had produced many shows. They did gr8 at JKR times wid Zee tv.
Veer Shivaji was gr8 nd I personally loved it. Paras nd other actors were too good but just like Mp that show started loosing its viewers Bcoz of slow direction nd finally got scrapped...

I dont wanna see this happening wid Maharana Pratap . Actors r doing gr8 job on their part, here d responsibility lies wid PH nd Channel.

@Bold blue - Agreed. I feel the same!😊

@Bold red - EXACTLY my point!!! The guru has been a let down as he is coming across as not strict disciplinarian but plain rude and domineering! Where is the true guidance and inspiration in real sense that a guru ought to evoke?😕

@Bold PINK - Seriously!😲 They promoted it well during the war days. But just left it by the wayside later!😡
We have crazy promos and marketing from all quarters at every moment for KBC. But not even decent promos for MRP! Forget segments on shows like SBB/SBS or coverage in Dainik Bhaskar or TOI!🤢

There need to be hoardings for the show everywhere (there are huge ones for this Jee Lein Zara show nowadays). Segments and interviews on TV news shows. Coverage in magazines and newspapers' entertainment sections. Performances on special shows or awards with a skit on Maharana Pratap or a war sequence like there was by Zee in their Rishtey awards, where they had a skit on Jhansi Ki Rani with Ulka.

They have great actors, superlative technical finesse, great attention to detail in sets, costumes, make up etc. I mean, it is much grander than other shows! ⭐️Only PACE and MARKETING are keeping it from achieving its potential!😕

@Bold GREEN - JKR was really good.😊 Veer Shivaji had great potential and was going well till they showed grown up Shivaji. No idea what happened to it later. Next I knew it was scrapped and replaced with some other show!😲

I agree with you. Even I do not want to see such a fate for MRP! In fact I also hope they have better and more solid plans in future so that show does well or rather better after they have to show grown up Pratap and his siblings! They are on a shaky ground already. I do not know how they will manage later!😕

The team and subject are fab. You're right, the responsibility lies with PH and channel to make best use of it and tap its potential to good use!

the brits changed the meaning of our vedas so that we would hate our culture, here is an interesting link and article about cow killing and how the british claimed it was in the veda when in reality it was not:

its a good read, that everyone should read:

i am worshiper of Indian Warriors, i make small and big efforts to know about indian warriors, i applaud writers for bringing forth true warriors of nation, even our history books of CBSE never lets us know about them, there are more mentions about mughals, world histroy and british empire in india, television provide us small means to know about our indian fighters but certain things even dont let it bloom! i agree MRP is flat story sometimes, but till it is revealing golden history of ours to us, i wont mind watching it. i badly wish people to follow this show, it will make them know what we are actually

@Ratilal

Thanks for the link. 😊 Yeah I know British left no stone unturned to change meaning of our texts and drive a sense of shame and inferiority for our own culture. They (and in past Muslim invaders, including Mughals), destroyed our temples (be it of Hindus, Sikhs or Jains!), destroyed our religious and ancient texts, Destroyed and distorted our historical accounts, correspondence and records, then they re-wrote and re-interpreted our history and culture to both us and the world. As if our gods, saints, gurus and rulers were losers, perverts, got defeated by them or were state enemies or used religion and customs to gain power and fool people.

The ones like Plato and Aristotle have written worse BS for women. But these Western guys only have to single out Manusmriti for putting down women and people of "lower caste". Sikh gurus spoke against discrimination be it caste or gender but their work is ignored.

Muslims did what they had to, when they were invading all countries successfully. Now it is the West that is still meddling with others' history and culture. They are leaving no stone unturned to bash Koran and portray Muslims as some sinister and violent peoples.

Many times I think approach of different religions and regions also spoiled their image. Sikhs' image suffered a dent due to Khalistan movement and related violence. The likes of MNS and Shiv Sena are spoiling image of Maharashtra and the Maratha culture. Some Hindu outfits like Bajrang Dal and RSS, with their stance against others and involvement in riots against Muslims or intense focus on "Hindu rashtra" are spoiling image of Hindus.

Ideally any culture or people, should set good example with their actions, try to provide accurate and detailed account of their history and contribution to society and highlight the positive and scholarly aspects of their texts, holy books and other beliefs.

But whenever you have a cultural/ethnic/religious/racial/caste group they seem more rude, intolerant of others and rather seem fraught with a persecution complex as if they are constantly under threat by some other group. Instead of spreading knowledge about themselves, they peddle an agenda!

I was reading the Dalai Lama's book on Tibetan Buddhism. It had as much of agenda in peddling the notion of China out there to destroy the Tibetans as the principles of the Lamrim (Path to Enlightenment). He also snidely dissed the west and tried to portray as if only Eastern philosophy could truly help humanity. The book was knowledgeable but not free from political or victim complex tones.

Jingoism wreaks havoc with spread of knowledge! 🤢
