This show has focused only more on effect of Maya's beyhadh love like how it impacted the lives of various persons connected to her life!
It had a peripheral & limited interest on the causes!

The effect of Maya's beyhadh love was her obsession!
The result of her obsession was total destruction!

The cause of her beyhadh love could be a perceived insecurity feeling & fears experienced in childhood!
But, as I suppose, it was not a subject matter at all, to CVs as they hardly spent any time or energy on that! In fact, they managed to raise only some speculative interests among certain audience groups & then finally dismissed it, nothing more than a simple case of depression, by some non-descript doctor, clearing the air in one sentence, very tamely! That is all, the attention it deserved, perhaps! A subject that drew so much animated discussions in the forum or elsewhere hardly was a matter of concern to CVs!

Nor, they had any plans to elaborately dwell on her childhood torture & abuses! It had a limited attention to fit into the story & that was all about it! The story moved forward rapidly to the ill-effects of her obsessive behaviour!
In fact, they did not even focus on an alternate form of love-so called true & pure in nature, as it did not draw the imagination or patronage of majority viewers- or should I say, almost all of them!
So, that development too suffered conviction, as no sufficient build-up was given to that form of love!

It was Maya's Show, all the way! Passion, Hot romance, Obsession & then evil nature of her unpredictable self! That was only there, all the time on the show!

The reason was obvious! It was not meant to be an one- person- show! But it happened, anyway, just like that! The masses wanted it that way & it happened that way!

That point I also agree to anshvi. In S1 it looked like she had depression and even MPD. I had strongly felt it to be MPD especially there is a look she gives to Jhanvi and Jhanvi runs away. It was a flash of a moment.
Then again post wedding, Maya runs from Arjun saying she cannot put him to risk, Vandana comes and look with anger and disgust. In that scene flash of a second Maya's eyes shows variation and then Arjun talks about suicide and the moment is gone. Though I have no much clue abt MPD from whatever I have read and seen in movies like Manichitrathazhu, Anniyan and all it comes under certain situations and if you can avoid situation it is submerged.

Then in S2 and S3 it was completely different. It looked more mental unstability, depression and all from a layman perspective. So they have to give some conclusion. Because stigma related to mental illness is very much there in the society and many lives get destroyed because people dont want to accept it or seek treatment.

@aekiel did I tell my analysis is right everywhere. That is why it is analysis and not inference or conclusion. I have not even put inference, because I am analyzing things connecting things trying to correlate.
Second your accusation I am writing for a particular audience. I dont need to do that. As a person in real life or in the forum I dont do things to please anyone. I write my POV, I tell my POV and I do what I belief in. If people connect to my POV it doesnt mean I am writing for them or if people follow me that doesnt mean I am doing it for them. Whatever I do, I do it for myself. Things I feel.
I dont know what people expect out of me sorry to say it is not my job to meet anyone's expectations. I only try to meet the bar I set for myself. Improve myself.

Third I didnt give human mistakes to Saanjh and Vandana. Sorry to say here. For Saanjh I had given a long rope from the beginning. Infact if you go to my initial analysis I had always called her path breaker as that was what I felt at that point. As story progressed I had to change the perspective from where I looked at her. It was not human mistakes she did. Neither Vandana atleast for me.

I had given full benefit of human mistake to Ayan. Not only in the first instance when Maya trapped him, but also in the second instance when he tried to take revenge with Maya. Because he was a human and his feelings were raw and you could connect to it.

It is not that I support Maya's crimes. That's the biggest mistake you all are doing. It is just that I dont see any difference in action for Arjun, Saanjh aur Jhanvi when faced with similar situations. I am looking out for difference, which you can see, but I dont feel it. There is a lot of difference between seeing and feeling.

Agreed. It's pointless discussing it further.👍🏼 waste of time energy and efforts for all of us including the CVS.

Such a grand start and strong plot and now it's all down the dumps.
(PS: jhanvis character is very inconsistent and unstable, can't rely neither on her actions nor on words)

Yes u r right

@fernandes CVs have shown selfless love. unfortunately it is not Dusky's love. It is not selfless. The people who displayed it in true sense was Prem Mathur. His love for his daughter was so pure. This man made a lot of sacrifices for the happiness of his child.
Second was the girl who came and owned up the murder of the jailor for the sake of Maya. The gratitude that nameless girl showed for the woman who stayed hungry for her.

In both these characters love was not just seen, it was felt. And love has to be felt. It has to touch the heart and not the eyes.

Another character who almost came to selfless love was Ayan. He did lot of mistakes, but still he was a character who had a lot of potential and this is one character also I feel sorry for that CVs didnt use to the complete potential. Not sure whether they will give justice to Ayan's characterization atleast in the final episodes.

@Shruti : I'll like to add that Dusky's fear has some guilt hidden in it

And I think Cvs is trying to show saanjh selfless love for Arjun, by Dusky wanting to stay away from Arjun for his life, and Saanjh devi doing lots of sacrifices

@Y12 that was clear, when she told Maya you love Arjun right. Dusky wants Maya's love for Arjun in a way that suits her. She had always used that love as her weapon to hang onto Arjun. Unfortunately when that weapon is lost Dusky is powerless.
Just like the jailor who said Maya please forgive me. We need to understand this is the same Dusky who flashed arrogant smile at Maya hanging on to Arjun arms, went and told Maya arrogantly I will become Maya to protect Arjun, again arrogantly told Maya when you die we will take seven rounds.

First have the power and self belief to show arrogance. If you dont have both and you are dependant on someone else's power stop being arrogant. Dusky is now paying for her arrogance.

Ashwin, Jhanvi, Vandana, what she did with Ayan, Samay anyways Arjun saw but she didnt accept these 2 murders. There is something abt these 2 murders why it is hidden. Because adding 2 more murders to the list doesnt make any difference for Maya.

Coming to burning Rajiv, it was her punishment for Rajiv for using her vulnerability. When he had power he burned her, when she had power she burned him. They were more or less equal partners in crime or whatever. Dont keep Rajiv an innocent victim.

By the way guys I remember someone telling when Maya fell her blood fell only on one of 3 pebbles. I checked that episode, yes Maya keeps the hisab of her crimes taking pebbles and when she falls there are 3 pebbles in line, but blood fall only on one. I still dont know what to make out of it, though some guesses are there.
For me her biggest crime would be the moral responsibility in the death of Prem and second trapping Ayan. But still unable to connect that 1 pebble.

i was the one who asked you about that..😃 i remember i asked you about sysmbolism..meaning of that 3 pebbles and blood was falling on only one pebble..

In that case, you could argue that Maya's love had plenty of elements of guilt in it- she knew in her heart of hearts that the foundation was weak, with good amounts of deception and manipulation involved in getting her target in the first place, and that doubt and mistrust ended up being her downfall.
