Shruti, deep down she does care about Arjun..she always will.. and vice versa.. how else can you explain the hurt we saw on her face when Arjun was barking mad at her.. I guess it's a natural human instinct when we see a person we care about, fall in a deep dark pit, we unintentionally extend our hand to rescue him.. Hope Saanjh realizes that by winning the case for Ayaan, she will in a way rescue Arjun, in the sense that he will have his eyes open to Maya's sachai.. after that what he does, is his choice..atleast she can take heart from the fact that she did what was in her hand..

That's exactly what I was trying to say as well. She DOES care about him and always will and there is nothing wrong with that. Like you said it's basic human instinct. She knows Arjun is in trouble and wants to help him. I completely understand that. Hence when she says "I don't care about Arjun and don't care if he is with Maya or not" that does not ring true because we know that's clearly not the case.

And I agree she needs to realize that by proving Ayaan innocent and winning the case she will automatically be able to bring the truth in front of Arjun. Then if Arjun decides to still side with Maya then that's his choice and if he decides to come back to his family and leave Maya then that'll be his choice as well.

Not one person is worth rooting for in the show. Saanjh, Vandana, Arjun are complete morons albeit with good intentions. Their actions are so mind numbingly stupid that I am just not able to root for them. Also all 3 of them bore the hell out of me.

Maya and Samay are smarter and more interesting as characters but they have gone down such a dark path in their respective obsessions that morally you can't really "root" for them to win over the other innocent people. So they are not really rootable either.

But if I were to talk in a general sense about which character is keeping me hooked to the show then that would have to be Maya. Like honestly I would not miss Vandana, Saanjh or Arjun if they were killed off or were shown to go away somewhere never to return. If Vandana and Saanjh were no longer in the picture and instead some other adversary was introduced for Maya, I would still watch the show to see what happens. If Arjun was killed off and the rest of the show was about how is death affects Maya and the others, I would still watch the show. Good or Bad it is still Maya's storyline that keeps me interested. I want to know what Maya's sach is, what Maya will do next, how her truth will finally be revealed, how she's going to pay for her deeds, if she will ever repent and redeem herself, etc. It's still the mysteries and possibilities surrounding her character that makes me come back and tune into the show every day. If Maya was sent to jail now and disappeared from the scene and the rest of the show was about Saanjh, Arjun and Vandana's life without Maya then honestly I don't think I would watch the show anymore because these characters don't interest me enough.

It's a testament to how poorly written the characters are if as an audience I don't care about half of them.

Okay, watched today's episode and I'm sorry if this hurts or offends anyone for whatever reasons but the Maya I loved, she's officially dead to me. All I look forward to now is her suffer a terrible, horrible, horrifying, painful, torturous fate and double that of a death. Rest in peace, Prem. You were a beautiful soul. That scene was...painful to watch. :'(
