From the moment Maya decided to stop the flight till Ayaan got arrested in her house, it is very much possible Maya staged a lot of drama but mostly planned alone without knowledge of Samay!
Samay's presence in her house is unexpected, as far as Maya is concerned!
It is only- post arrest of Ayaan, Maya could have realized some value of Samay's evidence& got him testified in her favor!
But didn't he take a neutral position or not? And even that was good enough for maya to win! The eye contact in court between them, after verdict was intriguing!
What is his value for Maya once Ayaan was sent to jail?
Once the deed was done, why should she be interested in him any longer ??
Samay may be trying to milk the opportunity to move closer to Maya, by positioning himself as a self-appointed spy for Maya & trying to post the developments from Saanjh's end!

So, Samay is not a blackmailer here but actually trying to act as a good friend helping her!
Then Maya is actually in a position of strength & she has no need to agree to call back or maintain contact with him!
She can work with or without Samay's involvement, isn't it? Why keep him? She should trash him!
Basically Samay was involved in Maya's plan throughout or post arrest of Ayaan will be cleared I guess in the upcoming episodes ..he might have been the one to call the police for all we know.
His stand was kind of neutral but he did testify against Ayaan and the moment it got cleared that Saanjh had asked him not to come it completely backfired for Ayaan.
Both Samay and Maya were involved in it , we saw their eye-lock which was interesting ! To what extent he was involved in the plan remains to be seen
See...I don't think Samay is blackmailing Maya but helping her instead to win her back
We know how Maya likes to keep her eyes on everyone and everywhere so she is simply using Samay to get information and keep a tab on her enemies.
We all know what extents can Maya go to if someone poses as a threat to her or her secrets.
I don't think she would have even picked Samay's calls if he was blackmailing her..Like you said she is in a position of strength so why will she even entertain him..she will simply remove him from his way if he was blackmailing her unless he is of some use to her..
Infact Samay was willing to kill Saanjh when he thought that she knew about him and Maya and was not at all ready to let Maya's secret out in any case...Maya would have dealt him in her own way by now if he was blackmailing and that is why i think she is using him and the day she thinks Samay is no longer of any use she will throw him out of her life ! 😆
Also you must have seen how Samay is trying to get answers out of Saanjh , He keeps asking her about her next move, her plan..he used Simmy to dig info out of Saanjh and he said to himself "Ki Maya ko batana hoga ki Saanjh ke dimaag mein kuch toh chal raha hai" or something of this sorts.
which further proves that he is trying to work as a spy and pass all the important info to Maya to win her trust and Maya is taking advantage of that
