@darling - it has been proven that Ayan dint attempt to rape her but she accused him of attempting to rape her and that's enough to prove her as criminal.

Evils can't prevail. But the question is, is Maya evil? Maya is a mentally disturbed (not completely insane) girl who's mental condition makes her incapable of differentiating btw right nd wrong. Her past has made her shape wrong definitions of love , control, truth and punishment n noone around her has made her realize what's right and what's wrong.

Since Maya is not the vamp of this show but the Female lead n this is her story..
I think the evils in her will be punished and not her. For that she needs to lose once and realize that her methods are not right. After her fall nd her past coming into lime light (most probably Saanjh will do this) I expect her to redeem as a person and repent for her mistakes. And then when she lands up in the same situations, she does the right thing.

I am expecting to see her whole journey.
Her being a victim (which have seen in season 1) her being the victimizer ( what we are seeing in season 2) , her fall , her redemption/self realisation nd finally victory of the good in her over the evil in her.

Or else there's no point in showing a dark character as the FL. We have ample shows with irritating vamps. Maya is an exception who gains the sympathy of the audience even after her being so wrong. So I feel this show will be different n path breaking
Moreover.. It's the redemption phase which decides the strength n beauty of the character, not the phase of darkness.

So that ashwin also a redeemable character. 😆

Maya s childhood trauma is no more going to defend her crimes.

Maya is a criminal now.

Seems u haven't understood my post😆
Where did I say she isn't wrong?
Read the bold part ...
Yep in season 2 her actions are punishable n that's what I said, I want her to fall n lose
So that she realises how wrong is she.
And that will start her redemption..

Who are we to decide whether a character is redeemable or not. If a character sees the darkness in him/her and repents for his/her mistakes then the character can be redeemed. But Ashwin never saw the darkness in him, he just saw money n ways to terrorise Maya baby so he is irredeemable

If she falls and loses, what will show have to offer after that? That will be the death of this show. She should continue to win most of the times. If CVs really want to show her defeat then it better be at the hands of someone like Samay not stupid Saanjh and Sharma family.

After she realises she's wrong, she will repent and understand that her ways of handelling things aren't right. She might even free Arjun , that will show that her love isn't obsession anymore but true love.

It can be anyone who makes her lose, most probably Saanjh but cud be Samay too. But I feel it's gonna be Saanjh.

After that the ending needs to be seen.. Maybe Arjun comes back to Maya. Because in first episode, Maya's scarf had fallen on Arjun n it brought problems, and Saanjh removed it, but Arjun kept it again with him for a better use. That's why I feel ArYa is end game.. even if that doesn't happen, both can separate n lead a happy life alone.
Don't want any character to die, it will leave me very sad as a viewer

I appreciate u wanting a happy ending for the show...even I would want Maya to get better , arjun to stay with his family , for Saanjh to find someone for her or be successful in her profession.
But let me just tell u that be prepared for a tragic ending too...it is a dark thriller and there is possibility of a sad ending too.
I can relate coz I was a huge fan of a series P.O.W. and I got so connected to the characters that I kept hoping for a happy ending but that show had a very real , hard hitting and a sad ending..my fav character died too.

So , now I am prepared and know that not all shows are supposed to have happy endings...it depends on what message the makers intend to give in the end.

In my opinion it can go either way

A very dark ending - Maya might cross all limits for her Beyadh love and it becomes too late for her and she dies in the end. In this case other characters may end up losing their lives coz of Maya including Vandan , Ayaan even Saanjh and Arjun

A happy ending - Or Maya realising before it is too late , gets treatment , gets better and then repents for her sins. Getting forgiveness and acceptance from others.

A bitter sweet ending - Maya realising her mistake at the very end and thus sacrificing her life in order to save maybe be Arjun from something thus redeeming herself.

I personally would not want a dark ending for the show at all...I love when endings are happy and hopeful.

But don't assume that ending will be happy only.

Yes , that is what majority of viewers demand at this point , even once Maya/ArYa fans want to see Maya getting punished & the only logical end at this point will be Maya getting killed/killing herself or ending up at a mental asylum , safely away from the sane people so that she can not harm them . 😳

Love your POV aditi. Really appreciable.
No one needs to die in this show. Similarly nothing wrong can keep winning.Redemption is necessary. Cure of illness is needed. That is the need of the other characters in the show.

I had seen a similar show where the character (in Maya's place) after repenting, correcting nd establishing the fact that his love wasn't obsession anymore but true love, ie by freeing the other person n facing consequences of his crimes, died at the end.. That left me very sad.

I am used to seeing shows with tragic end. Since Maya has just suffered since childhood, want happy ending for her. 😊

But as u said prepared for the worst but hoping for the best 😃
