When we set an opinion on these fictional characters, we represent our thought-process in evaluating real life situations.
The people who are saying Saanjh deserved the slap, to the people who are saying Maya is pure evil, please contemplate about it and tell is that really a logical opinion?

A person is entitled to his or her opinion but would you think the same if you would see exact same situation and characters in your real life?
Let's get this straight. EVERY character here is GRAY & WRONG AT SOME TIME. No one is fully black or white. Let's not even talk about Arjun, he is out of the understanding league I dont understand why two girls even love him so obsessively, jaise dunya mein larkey kam hogaye hai😆
However, Maya, Saanjh, Vandana all of them have been wrong at some point.

How many of you would be fine living under one roof with a person like Maya who does manipulations to separate a family? Even if Vandana was the meanest creature, this doesn't give right to Maya to manipulate and separate a family. If Maya was the one bonding Arjun and Vandana she did that unintentionally she was just saying her story and that brought sense to Arjun and he reconciled with his mother.

To those who say "irrespective" of gender. Why the word irrespective in gender? Weren't these the one's telling that people can't accept a Bossy Maya because she is a lady and if it were a man who did such acts then people would be drooling over his actions. So we come to this point again, how about a man would do manipulations and separate his wife from her family mother brother, that surely wouldn't have been acceptable to anyone but just because it's Maya let it go. Nope!
And the gender in violence. You are NOT allowed to hit a woman no matter in which situation you are. The people who hated Ashwin for physically hurting Maya are the same people who says Saanjh deserved the slap. Like really? Okay the situation is really huge. She was the reason for miscarriage but is there actually a baby at first place? And even if this issue gets aside, and he hit her but after getting his calm he should realise slapping was too much. Nothing can be worser than a baby dieing of any parents but didnt Maya separate a son and a mother too?

Talking about Vandana, she became unbearable so many times. She should have followed her extincts but with less of melodrama and the over reaction. Due to her ill behavior Maya got really triggered.

And Saanjh she should definitely set boundaries not because her best friend is married but because the best friend whom she used to love is married. Maya will definitely feel unusual knowing Saanjh loved Arjun before. But this doesn't make Saanjh only responsible for setting limits Arjun should be blamed equally in crossing boundaries.

To conclude, every character has crossed limits in this show sometime or the other and I analyze them the same way I would analyze people in real life. So those who dislike Maya or Saanjh please don't justify sensitive issues like "physical violence" "manipulative games" just because it is done with your least favourite character by your most favourite character. We are individuals who have to face this world with eyes that sees justice, hears truth and a mind that accepts what is right.

This is not targetted at any specific person, its COMPLETELY GENERAL POST because I don't even know anyone over here. 😳
I watch Beyhadh and enjoy every character every situation of this drama and don't really have favourites.

Very good post. No one in this show is error free, everyone has done their share of mistakes, blunders and what not. Vandana do not deserve to lose her son. Ayan do not deserve to lose his brother. Sanj do not deserve to lose her friend though this is good for her to move forward in life. Regarding Maya, she is sick and she needs medical help. I do not buy it that she tried to be good and if Vandana accepted her she would have been good. Even if Vandana accepted her, the sick Maya would have come out eventually because life is not going to be always rosy. She will run into situations she won't like and she can't control and her sickness would have come out eventually, her sickness is a ticking timebomb. Maya needs medical help and Sanj needs to focus on her life and Arjun needs to realize that success and fortune cannot be attained easily, you get it through hard work. For vandana the lesson is not to act the way she did driving lyour kid away even if you felt Maya was not good for her son. The only character I have not seen any issues so far is with Ayan.

Answers for the bold text@

Well I so agree that even if Vandana would have accepted her Maya still would become like before because any person me you or a third person can change our habits but never our idealogy or mentality and Maya always wanted everything her way and in a weirdly way so she would suffer later too.
And I so agree that each character needs all the things you mentioned above but Maya with medical help needs a much more mature person to love her and heal her along with medicine. What I feel is why Maya chose Arjun was because he was the only person she "forcefully" made him of herself by few events and Arjun accepted due to the benefit of money and a good beautiful lady to have in his life.

Thank you 😳
Exactly! The Beyhadh in the initial episodes was so much better. Now it's the characters are becoming unjustifiable as well as the storyline deviating from the main plot.

In this show, it was only revealed that Maya will get violent. Only after we started watching the episodes, most of us including me got to know that she is mentally ill. That made us show empathy towards her. When she had set up a huge empire and became a successful businesswoman, our empathy and the soft corner turned into liking her. I don't think beyhadh is going on as promised. If the CV's wanted her to be like that, why did they make us show empathy towards her? Why did they make us feel for her? They could have made her normal and made her parents supportive like the Mathur family but made her a spoilt brat. If they had made her that way, it would have made sense. Just because she is mentally sick, it does not mean that she should be abandoned. Maya does not know what is right and what is wrong as Jhanvi was not in a condition to groom or nurture her at a young age. Ashwin never spent a quality time with the family. On the contrary, he had tortured both of them. Maya does not know what is true love because she has not been loved. She is craving for that love. Yes, she may not be able to recognize it because she has not experienced it. But these things has to be handled with patience and she should be given medical help, if necessary. Vandana could have done these things as a normal mother. But she just went by the pundit's words and kept triggering her even though she wanted to let go of her past. As you and Bladict said if Maya had desired to have Arjun for herself despite the acceptance and the love she gives her, then I would not support her for that. However, on the whole, everyone deserves a second chance.
What would have been Vandana's attitude towards Saanjh if she had parents like Ashwin & Jhanvi? What would she do if Saanjh had the mental illness like Maya and had been manipulative? I am putting this question the other way round as I am looking at the same thing from the other side of the story. I am also saying this because it was the same pundit who said that Arjun & Saanjh relationship cannot take place as their horoscopes don't match in any way. The fact is that both have different wavelengths but still, she wanted to proceed with that.

So if Saanjh had parents like Ashwin & Jhanvi and was tortured by Ashwin to the extent of beating her in the public and calling her mad and breaking her mentally, which makes her use manipulative ways to get what she wants, then Vandana would have spent more time with Saanjh in her house away from the parents and give her all the love and the treatment she needs and eventually make her as a part of her family happily (assuming that Arjun had fallen for her).

PS Note, Saanjh's actions are same but the difference is Vandana likes her and accepts her for Arjun's happiness. She had initially accepted Maya and was being respectful to her and calling her beti but got carried away by half negative word what the pundit said and what Ashwin told about her. I am going out of the box as it will be hard for others to understand my point and the haters would bash me or quote me for that. Coming straight, I would say that she has been partial towards Saanjh and had given her more importance than Arjun or even Ayaan. To be precise, it is the attitude that matters.

Here, Vandana and Saanjh try to eliminate the person and the consequences but not the root cause of that person. If Vandana had accepted her, given her the love she wants and had given the medical help to Maya, who knows? Maya might have got healed. (She would have done that if it was Saanjh).

All that I want is Maya should get healed and have a good endgame with or without Arjun.

Balanced n sensible post .
Personally i will never able to live with person like Maya /male version of maya as spouse /frn/relative . I will advise her to seek medical help n keep safe distance to avoid myself from getting manipulatied or controlled or isolated. Every one needs their freedom.

I can't be like saanjh too ,
1 i will never fall for arjun after interacting with him , he can be part of frn circle to hang out . Any girl can get physically attracted to him . But due to his attitude n selfish nature its hard to fall in love with him . He is not evil , very flawed ckt n worst thing very dumb too to buy fake abortion .

2 after getting ill treatment n unnecessary insult , i don't unstd how saanjh can have soft feelings for him ?
All her life she gave priority to that dumb fellow, allowing herself to get exploited as frn , only to take his insult most often without any proof n without fault and still she is capable to love him !! This is not selfless love it is stupidity.

Excellent post and much needed too!
Nobody would want to live with a person like maya and 'heal' her knowing that that person is out to destroy their life's happiness. We are all humans after all, n human nature is to safeguard ourselves from any kind of mental/physical torture that may be inflicted upon us. Vandana is expected to accept maya and give her love, wait...Isn't Arjun giving her love? Didn't Saanjh give her love? Didn't Ayaan give her love? What did maya do with the love? The ppl who cannot accept human mistakes accept manipulations and things as evil as what Maya has done, and continue to find justifications for the same. Also, let's not forget that vandana wholeheartedly accepted Maya earlier knowing that she was Arjun's choice. But the events that followed were too much for a mother to stay calm.

Vandana's fears were absolutely valid but the way she dealt with them was highly illogical n stupid. She spoke everytime without proof.

Saanjh too had to realise that her bestie is a married man now. There is a difference in how she should behave with him. Though I don't blame her for dancing with Arjun or almost kissing him in the restaurant, i do feel that she shouldn't have put colour on Arjun before Maya.
