After today's episode, the possibility of Jhanvi being negative, or least, not a white-washed character has been resurfaced post the previous rumours of her turning into a villain.
I always considered Jhanvi to be different than she appears, almost like having a second skin. She always gave the impression of being capable, she has the capacity and she is definitely more than the dumb character she is portrayed as. Back in the very first episode, I had thought of her as someone who is "cuckoo" and perhaps, she may be.
I personally quite enjoyed Jhanvi's scene(s) in today's episode, the acting was great and the portrayal of the character was magnificent. It is (almost) clear that Jhanvi wants to prove Maya as crazy/ill/unstable, but what could be the reason for a mother to take such a drastic step?
a) Jhanvi could just be blindly and madly in love with Ashwin despite everything and may just be playing along to his plans, being used as his puppet [Ashwin would have to be alive for this theory though].
b) Jhanvi wanting to prove Maya crazy just so that Arjun drifts apart from her. Maybe Jhanvi does not want Maya to attain love/happiness as Maya always got in the way of Ashwin and her happiness. Not only keeping them away and forcing Jhanvi to abide by certain limitations, but throwback to the ArYa conversation at the terrace when Maya opened up to Arjun about her past. Maya had clearly stated how unhappy Ashwin was and how unpleasant his reaction to Jhanvi's pregnancy had been. Maybe Jhanvi feels that eversince the very beginning, Maya has been a barrier between Ashwin and Maya since Ashwin's love for Jhanvi would have decreased.
c) Jhanvi could have genuine mental issues due to which she doesn't remember calling Maya and having told her what she said, although, this fails to explain the malicious grin Jhanvi had.
What do you think could be Jhanvi's motive?
