Just wanted to analyse few things so this topic is up. Because my previous topic stretched to 30 pages. So didn't want to stretch it further.

Point 1: Saanjh being called a doormat

First of all name calling is against forum rules but even that is not the main point because at times we flow with emotions. That can be forgiven. But I would want to make it clear why she isn't. From day one arjun and saanjh shared a beautiful bond. Arjun called saanjh his home while maya seemed too behind the table personality to him. They had shown everyone knew saanjh loved arjun but he didn't know, neither people knew if he did too. But saanjh had the confidence that maybe he did. I have seen this thing happen in my personal life with my best friend who still now expects someone she loves to love her though we don't know if he does.

Anyways, then maya was shown to enter Arjun's life...eventually fall for him. While arjun was not shown to have any such emotion. Maya was shown to be interested to professionally deal only with saanjh but then she remembered her to be that friend for whom arjun fought the very first day. That was the beginning of her insecurity because by then she had fallen for Arjun. Maya made saanjh sit for hours at her office unnecessarily and then humiliated her. Arjun banged her head and then she invited saanjh for dinner. Almost threatened her to leave Arjun's life. " log ghoom jaate hain aur unka pataa bhi nhi chalta ". Saanjh understood she loved arjun. Told arjun who didn't believe. And then happened the parachute proposal. Saanjh had expected that maya might have loved arjun but arjun didn't. So after the parachute proposal she got devastated quite naturally...but arjun promised that he really didn't love maya but had no choice because she wasn't behaving normal. So he had asked for time though his answer would be a no. This got saanjh more upset because she had expected arjun to say the truth which he didn't.

This is extremely natural of you when you have long expected something from someone and suddenly a third person drops in and creates situation which gets your life in a sudden mess.

Maya gave gifts to arjun unnecessarily, arranged for his increments. Arjun went on accepting without understanding her actual intentions which saanjh did. But Arjun himself had told that he had no feelings for maya. Then why would he accept her unnecessary favours? Saanjh made him realise just that. Then the Ayan police thing happened. Saanjh tried her best. But maya did the actual thing. That night maya finally stepped between arjun and saanjh's friendship but Saanjh neither blamed her nor let them know that she had seen them together at the very special spot of their friendship. If love hovers over friendship, that too is not correct. The next day newspaper showed arjun hugging maya (the other way round it was actually) which naturally got saanjh upset. Because still arjun didn't say he loved maya but behaved otherwise. Saanjh had full right to question every of his behaviour. But he never answered properly disregarding their friendship. You can't disregard old relationships for new ones ever. Arjun even regarded maya to be the only person who believed his abilities in his speech. ..which was half the truth. Saanjh. ..vandana everyone did. But I really have very little hopes about arjun.

Then arjun left for Mauritius. Still he said maya was only his boss. Saanjh had already known that maya was taking over him...not only that...their friendship too. Saanjh would never had followed him if she hadn't felt he was not okay. But then she came to know maya saving arjun. She felt it was high time she confessed because she might have lost arjun forever. She reached and found that it was already late. Saanjh was going to leave. Arjun stopped her like always. Sat beside her in flight though he was already in a relationship. Arjun time and again had made saanjh feel special at one moment. ..and unimportant the next. Still saanjh had held on not because she likes to cling...but because she knows what love is .

After saanjh knew arjun and maya are together, she never came between them even with her friendship. Saanjh tried to leave for Singapore but again arjun stopped him like always. She told him the truth finally because no one should die with unrequited love. I personally believe that. But never did she force arjun. Never ever. Arjun could have let her go. He didn't. And Saanjh stayed mot because she's a clingy doormat. But because she values friendship. She trusts her friend. ...and herself. And she loved arjun. If maya can't leave arjun. ...so shouldn't saanjh. But their ways of holding on will always be different and that is the basis of the show.

Point 2: Saanjh searching maya's belongings.

Overall the business is wrong. But behind every action there's a truth. A truth that lead someone do that. If maya's many actions are justified only because she had a bad past. ...saanjh's this particular action could be justified because she wanted to know the truth behind something fishy...something involving maya's mental conditions. .something that will definitely concern arjun someday and something arjun should have known.

Later it was shown that maya planned everything and ended the episode with a bunch of lies making saanjh to be shooed away by arjun. The only mistake saanjh did was she wanted arjun to know everything before he chose someone as a life partner. Saanjh didn't take the job. She was forced to. So she isn't a clingy doormat again. Just she cares...as a friend. ..as a lover.

Point 3: Saanjh came to the wedding

Because Saanjh had to. Because maya was already humiliated before the public by vandana herself. Without saanjh's intervention, without her publicly declaring that vandana was driven by blind faith and Maya's love for arjun was absolutely pure and they were perfect for each other, maya and Arjun's marriage would have been talked about en masse

Because people would say that the mother in law herself didn't want the marriage but maya mehrotra forcefully took away her son from her. People usually don't say good about women. .specially given that maya didn't keep good terms with anyone around. Saanjh paved the way no matter how you say the wedding would have been as easy without her.

Point 4: Maya's humiliation

The guests had already seen Arjun's love for Maya on the wedding day. Given the same guests attended mehendi etc too.

So the question itself doesn't arise that they'll think that Saanjh was giving away arjun to maya. Saanjh herself blurted out publicly that it was her one sided issue.

And regarding the song...channa mereya is a common one sided love song..the one sided love of saanjh about which the world knows...maya herself too...and saanjh had then declared to...and arjun knew too. Saanjh had decided she would never step into his life after his marriage because either she couldn't bear...or maya couldn't bear...or both couldn't bear. So a proper exit can obviously demand a song of that sort...a proper exit of someone who meant the world to you someday. Arjun deserved being made guilty. Not because he couldn't love saanjh. But because he had disregarded their friendship for his love many a times even knowing half the truth at times.

Saanjh had no intention to humiliate the bride. Because Saanjh had never publicly shown her dislike for maya though it's obvious. no one would like someone who snatches away your best friend leave alone one love. Still whatever happened in the ceremony was just two faces of a single coin named saanjh. Without saanjh the marriage wouldn't have happened. And with saanjh it did happen but of course at least a song should have been to her... for her. After all she's a lead, Arjun's best friend, arjun being her love interest and she representing selfless love. At least one last song she deserved.

PS : I would have never questioned maya's self respect if people had not repeatedly questioned saanjh's.Her wedding. ..she could have sat on ...left...clapped...danced what not. But so could saanjh sing anything of her choice because it was her best friend's wedding, she was leaving him finally by choice. .and she made the marriage happen. Stop mud slinging on saanjh, and I would never even question maya's many unjustified actions.

Exactly , the only reason why i even defend saanj is because of the amount of hate she gets. She was annoying with her clinging to arjun because of love but shes not bad. Saanj made me proud because her character improved a lot. Maya is getting their, but its like when ever she tries , she ends up going back to her old self. Her emotions is imbalanced. Shes fighting with herself to stay in control while trying to find the real maya and bring her back.

Maya character is well written, and jennifer love her. Played it well with her beautiful expressions. But i watch a lot of csi an law in order shows to know that people like maya can either change or choose not too. Maya wants to change , but her insecurity and an old habits prevents her. When arjun is around, she looks like she's changing for good, but when his not. Its like she hasnt at all. It shouldnt be like that.

If she wants to truly be happy, she needs to confront herself. Do some self reflect. Accepting her past and go to a doctor every day for help. She cant expect to change with love. Love is not always the cure. If she lives with arjun an is protected only because of arjun. Then arjun goes on a business trip and dont pick up her calls. Who to say she wouldnt go back to her old self because of that.

To prevents that from happening an allowing arjun to be her cure which could backfire, she needs to confront an accepts her fear and past. Only then will maya be free and live a glorious life.

With arjun, arjun have been disregarding saanj friendship for a while. It felt like a one sided thing. I was proud in the begining when he stood up for saanj against maya. But afterwords he acts like shes an acquaintance. Arjun quickly trusted maya who wasnt even a friend at first, defending her against someone who he had claim to be his bestfriend. Usually bestfriend know each other a lot , but arjun because of fame was blinded.

Him saying maya was the one who inspired him an the most important person in his life. Made me dislike him. That time in the interview, he could have said he was inspired by maya, but the one who motivated him and encourage him is his family an bestfriend saanj. When he gave maya all the credit it felt like he was sucking up to the boss.

Even after he was done. He could have easily grab his phone to call her , but he didnt. Then came the trip with arjun, Ayan an saanj. He lied to her over an over. He kept repeating the same thing " maya. Just my boss" and " this is just businesses"

Its like he was trying to convince himself that. I mean lets be honest, what boss would send the gifts you always wanted from your wish list, take you out of the country to enjoy even though she told him it was business. Gives an expensive watch , propose in hot air balloon and romance in the office. If theirs one like that sign me up.

Anyway, Time to time he tells her its nothing and she believed him. So of course she would be angry and sad when he flaunts his relationship to her face. Contradicting everything he told her. Arjun character is a failure as a friend and is selfish too. As a friend, he should have understood her pain an how much it will hurt her to stay. But he disregarded her feelings and beg her not to go, knowing she wont refuse.

He technically manipulated her emotions to make her stay and didnt give her an answer to her question. Instead he gave it to maya. For someone whose sure about everything and Is confidence. He wasnt convincing. By him not saying a word to her was very embarrassing and acting like it never happend was even worse. He claim to be her bestfriend only when it benefits him. But what if both girls are pawn in his game.

The pandit says arjun life will be ruined because of maya and to stay away, what if maya love drove him to the point of no return. We all saw how obsessive he became of maya and the eps where he became aggressive seeing saanj an ashwin talking. Shaking her so viciously forgetting the fact that she was his bestfriend. How he follows maya like a puppet. What if maya love causes his own destruction. And he becomes the obsesser, instead of maya. Its possible, the first tv prompt shows arjun holding maya while smirking an maya looking at saanj with a cocky smile.

That image showed maya as the obsesser, but what if she wasnt and arjun was the one. How the love he had turn into obsessive love, and which soon turned his character negative. It Could happen, but it wont because this isnt about arjun, but instead maya.

I dislike arjun for many reason. Most of which you stated above. I don't hate maya . But I hate her obsession whatever be the reason. People here hate saanjh for no reason.

I don't hate Maya either, but people need to understand the plot has to move on. It can't revolve around arya every day. The other characters are important as well. Just because saanj is taking things seriously they don't like it . Saying she's taking more screen time. An she's the lead. Honestly just enjoy the show. At the end of the day it's about Maya. When I saw her cry in the police station I was amazed at Jennifer expression.

Maya was sad an beg the inspector to free her husband. But some of the stuff he said, I saw that look Maya have him. Reminds me of the old Maya. This is why I said it's not guarantee that Maya won't go back to her old ways.

Also ashwin heart attack? His death was probably caused by the person he met jhanvi. But seeing the blood, maybe.

I can see the amount of effort you might have put in to make this post and more than anything else, I hope you're feeling lighter after having said all that you wanted to. Good job! (:

Three things -

- I agree with most of the things you said except for a few points. I won't elaborate on them here because honestly, I have had to repeat myself so many times that I got tired of it. If you'd like to know, you can go through the topics I have made till date and you'll know.

- Although, there's one thing I'd say. Saanjh does not hate Maya. She's never hated her, she's never disliked her, she's never shown animosity of any kind towards her on a personal level. Any emotion that can be termed as negative that she's felt towards her would be that she's been apprehensive, doubtful, scared and at few times pain/jealousy (because of her unrequited love) At all other times, she's been compassionate and supportive towards her. And the times she couldn't manage to do that, she's been cordial.

- I can't speak for you or others but I personally analyse each character individually. I don't question or mock or insult Maya because Saanjh's been insulted and I don't question or mock or insult Saanjh because Maya's been insulted. I actually love both these characters, they're my main (perhaps only) characters of interest since day 1.

I dont know myself. But you nottice after the wedding. The story isnt fitting the main plot of the show. About obsessive love. Now that arjun an maya are married, how are they gonna show it. Matter fact thats the main reason i started watching this. To see how she becomes an obsessive lover. But so far nothing, it just seem like the writers are drifting away from the actual plot. That tend to happen sometimes. Even me when i write stories it happens. Now maya talks about her being bad luck an to stay away. It doesnt really apply to obsessive love. It seems more like arjun will take the role.

Arjun said god wanted them to be united, if thats the case that overruled the whole priest warning. And also he wouldnt have paid the pandit to lie about her fate. But then again , in ashoka the movie. When ashok an kaurvaki went to pray to live happily together. The diya fire turned of. Ashok puts it back on without telling her. And many miss fortuned happend before they live happily ever after.

Its similar in a way, but the difference is they were real characters while maya is not. So the ending might be different. Unless the writers are planning to make them beat all odds to be together.
