But Jennifer said in a interview that..beacuse of some episodes..people will think she is an antagonist . .but she isn't one ..

@ishakumar, ArYa-JenWin20 & nitzy21 - I think we need to move beyond the idea that 'love' can treat mental health issues. That way we would all become Jhanvi's who believe the cure to every problem is love/marriage. Does 'love' cure cancer? It doesn't. Similarly, mental health conditions are like cancers of the brain and 'love' doesn't cure it. What love can instead do is provide the strength, the support, the hope that there's is a way out of the seemingly dark and endless tunnel. That love can be from family, from friends or in this case Arjun. Doesn't necessarily have to be a romantic love/relationship. I am hoping that eventually Maya transforms into a good person thus sending out a good message through the show. I think that's what the makers intend to do as well.

^ I was always in favor of Maya getting treated. Arjun at d most can b her support, nothn more.

I'm not yet sure of d last line, but i hope dy show it dt way, coz if not it wud send out a wrong msg.

Lol..in one of my earlier post in shruti's post I had said..date was..11 November..

Maya needs to get treated..in that process she needs someone..to help her..just like Dr.jehangir from dear zindagi..

But I doubt arjun would be that person...

But she needs someone who would make her realise.. yes that's not right to get possessive over your loved ones..

Who can help her get treated..

Yeah, there's always a foundation behind these issues, it just occur randomly and out of no where. Although, I do think Arjun would want to stick by her to help her out of her personal crisis whether or not he still stays in love with her. He doesn't seem to be the kind of a person who would give up on people.

No he won't give up, definitely...but he will not stay in love with her either. Maya's actions are gonna be harmful for him...he may be framed in a case involving Maya( due to maya's self harming ways) or he may be harmed himself. All this makes it hard for a person to love the opposite person. He, along with saanjh will do everything to help her, but love...I don't think so. Yeah this is pretty much the same thing as u said, just realised lol.

Omg ur title gave me nostalgic of my previous show jodha Akbar where maya resembles rukayya character where she tortured with jalal sirf mera hai... lol I said in some post last week that maya may say it and there you go she told it today... I'm sure next Arjun will replace instead of maa in this dialgue... I have lost all pity or sympathy to maya character eve aftr knowing abt her mental illness bcz she is doing all these after knowing consequences also... my fav character is saanjh and vandana also.. I Dnt know what to say abt maya... her mom came from hospital who went to near death bcz of diabetes and she injured her... can't she know diabetic people wounds will not heal and may get infectious inside body and may lead to removing of particular organ... maya will show hell to saanjh... Arjun is somewhat safe bcz if he listens to her and be in her control then it's fine but saanj is ultimate target... vandana opened door saying nayi musibat in Arjun life and there stood maya.. so symbolically she is Arjun musibat... just like how saanj took away maya dupatta from Arjun face in first episode saanj will stand and save Arjun and also herself from maya musibat...when maya dupatta covered Arjun face he lost control on driving... same thing will happen now there will be roller coaster ride among Arjun and saanjh lives until maya illusion completely goes away from Arjun ... good to see Arjun also so called obsessed with saanjh by bringing her topic always infront of maya 😛 😉 😆

Jhanvi is the worst🤢 She is that abala nari types who keep loving a monster husband🤢

But Jhanvi being bad won't justify Maya torturing her, physically hurting her and also herself. She can warn her or ask her to go and live with Ashwin. But physical torture is a sign of mental illness & Maya needs treatment.

Pointing out Jhanvi's fault to cover up Maya's wrong is not justified. 2 wrongs don't make a right.

@Ani once again you have summed up Maya's condition very well. Especially I liked the categorization of people into 2 kinds. One who fight the practices and the other who continues the practices.

See this is where I am expecting the path crossing of Maya and Saanjh. Till now Maya has been a victim and she has made other's victim. She is going to make Saanjh a victim. But Saanjh will rise from the ashes and become personality number 1, even bringing Maya out of the mess. Saanjh calls herself Durga. Durga is that form of Goddess who has both constructive and destructive forces in her. And her destruction happens for the right cause, right thing while she nurtures and preserves the right things.

Now her behavior with Jhanvi. Maya the child was abused and Jhanvi would have stood as s witness that hapless abla nari seeing her child tortured. So though Maya loves her mom, somewhere there is a vengeance in her towards her mother who has allowed the torture of the helpless child. She doesn't trust her mother that is why she has kept Jhanvi in a cage. And for obvious reasons. After all torture Jhanvi wants Ashwin. Because she is married, because she thinks marriage is sacred, because of sanskaar whatever rubbish you call it, Jhanvi doesn't give Maya a chance to trust her.

Maya is alone, Ashwin has his mistress. Instead of giving unconditional love, medical attention to her daughter Jhanvi is trying escapism. Trying to put her problem on someone else head. Arjun looks the best option for her. Once Maya marries all problems over. Never mind what condition she will put the man into.

She reminds me of those mothers who do the same with sons. Get a girl to reform your good for nothing son or medically ill son. Marriage was told to be a cure for medical condition like epilepsy.

Our society has to move away from marriage and love is the solution to all problems to understand marriage is between 2 healthy individuals. Healthy means both physical and mental who are able to give and take and their union benefit them, family and society as a whole.

And the saas -bahu dramas. The crying bahus of those soap operas give rise to a generation like that of Maya. Maybe not to that extend, but a confused generation who has relationship problems, premarital and extra marital relations and divorces.
