And on that note, chala aashiq shaheed hone ko, taki Mrityunjay ko sabse zyaada dard ho. I genuinely felt bad for Rishi, he truly felt strongly for Maya - and he is the first sacrifice in this modern-day Kurukshetra, which is going be agonizing for both Mrityunjay and Rudra.
MayRu conversation - Well, with Diana taking our ship name to be her own, MayRu is our new ship name, I believe. So Rudra very honestly has fallen for Maya, but Maya is too consumed by her revenge to pay heed to any feeling she may have for Rudra. The kiss did stir something within her, but it wasn't strong enough to deter her from her path of revenge. She does feel something, but she cannot succumb to it, and right now she does not want Rudra near her to interfere with her plans for Rishi. Rudra very disappointed left Maya's house. The significant part of this scene is that when Maya asks him to keep the relationship professional - Rudra extends his hand, and Maya tries extending her hand too, but Rudra reminds himself that Maya doesn't like to touch hands, and leaves from their leaving Maya hanging and Maya pushes away her hand back to herself. From Maya's side, it shows, that Maya wants to give her hand, but she cannot. From Rudra's side, it shows that he is extending his hand, but he knows that the hand from the other end won't come. It shows hesitation from both ends, of whether they should take the plunge or not. It shows again that Rudra will first take the plunge, and Maya will also have to come along, first unwillingly and later willingly. But it is decided, that Rudra has to take the plunge first - be it in love or death.
Rishi vs Mrityunjay, Rudra - Honestly, I expected Mrityunjay to handle the situation better, but he just worsened the situation. These are the first signs of Mrityunjay Roy's unraveling. Slowly, this mask will continue to slip with every blow that Maya gives his way. Today we saw two versions of Mrityunjay Roy locking horns with each other. The young Mrityunjay versus the seasoned Mrityunjay. Rishi would not budge from his decision to marry Maya and would not let his dad insult, Maya. Mrityunjay treating him as some kid keeps insulting and egging the anger inside Rishi further. The most significant bit of this scene is Rishi claiming that he can even die for Maya, and Mrityunjay states that even his death is under his control. Mrityunjay and his God complex just make matters worse in this situation, and Maya takes appropriate advantage of this situation and Rishi dying is the first blow to the supposed 'God' Mrityunjay - showing that he has no control on anyone's death. Mrityunjay thinks that locking up Rishi will be enough, and with Ankit missing, he gets all the more agitated. Maya further diverts the anger of Rishi on Rudra, by making him believe that since Rudra does not treat his dad properly, it results in his dad controlling him more. He mistreats his father, so his dad does not trust him. Rudra who is already dealing with his mixed feelings about Maya also heats up and asks him to get lost - which he is going to regret big time.
The 1st sacrifice of the war - Rishi is beckoned by Maya on the pretext that she wants to end her life because the world will not allow them to live together. But Rishi comes and supposedly saves Maya and tells her he doesn't care and he will marry her today itself. But Maya tells him that we are in love and it should be known to the world and we should not hide it. She is very scared to lose him and his father has no idea what loss genuinely means. Maya eggs Rishi to do something intense to make his father bend, and reminds him of his fake suicide drama. But she cleverly makes him believe his father is too smart to understand this trick and it should look genuine. So Maya conveniently equipped with all the suicidal weapons goes and gets the knife to slit his wrist. As many of us predicted, Rishi would be slitting his wrist himself and without realizing the consequence of this bloodletting, Rishi gets ready to make Maya claim her 1st victory against Mrityunjay Roy.
Child for a Child - As per the precap, Rishi bleeds and breathes his last on Maya's lap further to his request of her face to be the last thing he sees before dying. And she keeps it. Also as per the promo, Mrityunjay had assaulted Maya to such an extent that she had a miscarriage, as per the flashback of her crawling in the mud. The physical pain may have gone, but the agony of the heart is beyond control. She feels very sorry for Rishi, but the mother in her cannot see anything above the loss of her child, so Mrityunjay will have to feel that same agony as her. Mrityunjay may not feel it physically, but the agony of his heart will be no less than the bone-crushing agony of a mother birthing her child. It is high time now that makers tell us all about what Mrityunjay did to Maya - her first sacrifice should give us an insight into what happened with her. Otherwise, how do they expect us to connect with her? Come on makers, give us a good and believable story so that the revenge is justified.
Rudra's late arrival - Rudra is there for God knows what. He is supposed to be the male lead, but the lead is leading us nowhere because he is lost himself. What is the guy really good at? Being absent everywhere, and doing nothing to help a situation. Uske gharwale usko bhao nahi dete, jabki usiki sagaai hai, Ananya is lost in her la la land, and probably once it comes to her mind that "Oh ya man, did I bother asking ki he is happy or not?". His brother vents his frustration on him, his father is frustrated with him and Maya actually shoos him away. Aisa dukhiyari male lead maine kabhi nahi dekha, and he is supposed to be Maya's shield - woooowwww! And now bhai tapak gaya and he comes last to only shriek at his dead body. Aise chilla raha tha ki murda aadmi bhi ghabrake zinda ho jayega. What is wrong with the CVs? Why are the Rudra scenes so shoddy all of a sudden? Please CVs, better scenes for Rudra in the coming days, because he is the next sacrifice in this game.
All in all, okayish episode, because we already knew what would be happening. Those are my thoughts for tonight. Let us hear yours
