The thing is this kind of promotion works more well with tech savvy audience which is the younger lot who are more likely to watch the show online not on tv. Trp audience or how they call them aunties dont have time to go online and stalk actors or channels sm accounts for teases and promos etc they usually see a promo during the commercial break or a segment if its been shown and then make the choice to watch it if the track seems interesting or they are a loyal viewer of the show. We didnt even know about the scene till the precap aired post epi and then the promotion started from then on. Usually these kinds of scenes are promoted a few days in advance but all we got on tv promos is the anjana drama and yesterday the KC promo.

There are also other ways to cut costs if the PH wants to extend the show. For eg. the cast could take a pay cut. Many times when a business doesn't do well, employees do make sacrifices to save their company.

P.S. i'm Not saying BP is making losses now. But just in case in future if it goes into the red as it runs longer.

It all depends on the Channel. It will be a tradeoff between online popularity and hard cold cash. And who could resist plain profit for online numbers ? 😆

Though you make a valid point profits from other shows can be used to offset BPs losses because it generates a lot of online popularity, overseas audience and grabs eyeballs.

It's a wait and watch.

From what I know BP has top notch cast and Jennifer is one of the highest paid actress. Like around 1 lakh per episode, if I am not wrong.

Don't know if the actors will be willing to take a pay cut.

I agree. Sad though because there is no systematic channel to generate revenue from online audience.

It's actually 1.2 lakh
Other ways to cut costs will be less parties and celebrations. Cheaper hair Stylists and make-up artists. Sometimes actors do their own make-up on outdoor shoots. And carry their own costumes. Fewer staff on outdoor shoots save overheads expenses.
And cheaper brand less clothes - although the audience will have to complain less about how awful our leads look compared to Naagin and Silsila leads😆

Is there really no way to generate revenue online? Does Youtube give money for online views if they cross a certain number? There are tons of ads on YouTube. And how did Behyadh make money for Sony online then?

Do you really think that's gonna happen ? There was so much hauwa regarding Jenny's glitzy green nikkah dress that the stylist was changed. Even regarding yesterday's episode people were like - Harshad needs to get a haircut. 😆

Looking good is very important in an ITV.

In a retail business, many times money-making items are used to offset the losses of other items.

No idea but I saw this on twitter (copy pasting it here)

Naagin3 is like the layak bacha of d house who works hard, keeps d house running bt nvr get appreciated. Shakti is anothr support. Silsila & Bepannaah are d nalayak bachas whom parents pamper & try so much bt they nvr do anythng. Udaan is d Sautela bacha jisko 7pm slot de diya

Youtube does pay money but that is negligible and the channel can directly benefit if the online audience watches from ONLY the official Colors channel. But, the episode is uploaded on multiple websites after being telecast so only a fraction of the money goes to Colors.

I have no idea about Beyhadh and its numbers. I watched its clips only after BP.
